Default Painted center caps - y/n?

After 31 yrs, I'm now contemplating painted center caps. Given the color of my car, I'm wrestling with whether it would be a nice compliment, or overkill ... thoughts? (Any photoshop gurus out there?)

Personal preference, I like the contrast. Also depends on the color of the car and wheel centers.

YOUR CAR IS A BEAUTY, in your case I think painted distract the eye from the car to the center caps because the center caps have gold color in them, like your car, I'd say the same for a red car. I think the painted would look good on a white or silver car. To each his own

I like them on my GP White, with black anodized wheels. I think they'd look great on yours, considering the gold on the caps.

I will likely enlist my talented wife to paint the crests only, and not the rings. While she's doing that, I'll sew the new leather wrap on my steering wheel.

You might consider Harvey Weidman Wheels in California for the painting of your wheels. They are pro's at this and have the exact colors to match the Porsche colors. I sent mine to them and can not tell you how great they look as getting the colors right is a must. Harvey is highly recommended in the Porsche community for high quality wheel work. Curt

Weidman Wheels does excellent work on Porsche wheels. His wife painted the center caps for my 911.

I like the look of painted center caps and I have them on both my 911 and 997.2.

They look great for sure. Can one purchase the valve supports somewhere?

Note: Found them (Pelican Parts) . Not cheap! ($10@)

I think the gold in the crest would Compliment the gold car nicely. But as mentioned it's a personal thing.

Nice. Thanks! My wheels are more chrome/brushed metal than painted silver. I'll take a look and see what i can find. The black ones look great in my opinion

I picked up my Turbo-look wheels at Weidmans about 3 weeks ago. He is famous for Fuchs restoration. His wife also hand paints the center caps. The stem guards come in different widths depending on the wheel size, but the part #'s are non specific. Harvey installed the correct guards on my wheels, unfortunately the guards are around $10 each.
