I am sorry that I did not see this message earlier but I am currently on vacation in Germany and have not kept up on my emails. Tell me a little about the car and if you have already bought it or trying to find out about import costs. If you already own it the only way to get it registered is through a registered importer there, is not other way and it is quite expensive actually ridiculous. So please give me a little more information about your situation. Curt
Hi Jaeger,
I was just perusing the forum to get more information on importing a german-spec 1986 Carrera and came across your post about a euro-spec 1986 that you bought in Texas and later titled/registered in CA with CARB certification.
I have been getting ludicrous quotes to get the car CARB-certified from apparently the only shop in CA that does this. So I'm definitely interested to hear what steps you went through after you brought the car from another state.
If you don't mind sharing your experiences, I'd greatly appreciate it.
