I was 5 or 6 inline for a case. I got my refund about 6 months ago after threatening legal action ( which i had my attorney involved and ready to go) he refunded me a week after "his lady in the accounting department returned being away" good luck to everyone, an no I don't think anything can be saved at this point......

Clearly Adam ran out of money, or maybe Porsche threatened legal action including a gag order. Who knows. But honestly, if the former, I can't imagine why deep pockets weren't approached or brought in since these cases were a very real venture with an enthusiastic buying community. I don't expect to get my $1500 back but would like to think someday, I'll get a case. My dream of 4.0L MFI goodness will have to stay that for now..

A regular 3.6L case works just fine for 4.0L builds....and why would you want to cripple a nice 4.0L build by using MFI??

Hey Scott, I know and it will probably be a 2023 or 24 project. There are a lot of reasons, one of them is simply just because.

I'm in the SFV not the OC, but there are a couple of addresses listed on the web.
I pre-bought a Avidyne IFD GPS/NAV/Radio in 2008 and didn't get it till 2014.
Covid had done a beating on a lot of businesses, especially start-ups.
The website is still up and his phone number is still active.
There was a small number of cases built to date.
Maybe someone from the OC should just stop by and talk to Adam?

Why? Many people have placed a deposit on a product and haven’t received a refund. This thread needs to remain open until every deposit is returned or the product is delivered as promised.

Has anyone stopped by his place of business to ask and see the progress on the cases? I suspect he ran out of cash, but it might be salvagable.

Man, I could see this coming a mile away. How do people put so much faith in someone is beyond me as many here, I'm sure, are educated and well-off considering the topic at hand. This guy is a loser, plain and simple. How anyone has not gone to his door for their stolen money is beyond me.

Agreed, pretty nonchalant about lost deposits. Its not a lifechanging amount but you arent putting a deposit down to invest in his business. This guy wa a total salesman from day 1, lot of bluster with not so impressve results

I tried to work with him early on as I wanted to see this take off for obvious reasons and I was surprised when he refused my help for free. I even offered to sign an NDA. I couldn't help seeing one amateurish mistake after another and outlandish claims on the cost of tooling and the incorrect processes he was using. The foundry debacle was one mistake after another and he didn't want to listen. He also used the term aircraft aluminum far too lightly. I offered to send him a copy of the MIL/ASTM specs for Aircraft aluminum but he had no interest. Once I saw they changed the tooling to cast the part as I originally suggested to him and then making it out of 100% core sand after he had taken deposits really threw up red flags. Once you do something like this you are essentially starting at ground zero with an entire different set of issues to contend with.

When I heard how many cases he was taking deposits for I saw it basically covered what he had into the project or so he claimed. Any number of things could have gone wrong or it is possible that Porsche intervened now that they are making engines for singer but in either case a lot of people got screwed and we still don't have a reliable source for replacement cases.

I was fortunate enough to source a new factory case without serialization for reasonable money. I doubt I will have much opportunity to do this again after this one.

These are probably gone. It's no deal at nearly $8,00 UNLESS you have the rest of the parts necessary to finish it. Then there's the costs associated with the rebuild.
