You also have to remember these cars have a HUGE spread in terms of spec. A WP car with no other options might be 175kish while a WP, PTS, PCCB, Mag Wheels, PDLS+ is 215-225k MSRP.

These cars will be made well into the 2025 model year. And Porsche has made a commitment to pumping them out. My SA showed me the email. I know, no hard numbers. But the overall vibe of the email is there is at least 2 solid years of production with a high production rate. The reason was because the termination of the GT4/Spyder and also a delay in the next generation of EV cars in this market segment(I hesitate to call it 718 as I am not sure what they are going to call it). My dealer is MSRP only and if I am fortunate enough to get an allocation, I will be at MSRP. My SA doesn’t ever shake his head or roll his eyes at me….he just smiles and says there is definitely a chance. Who knows. I love my current Spyder and would not be heartbroken to keep it!!! I also wonder if the GT4RS would be a better car since it has a better “use focus”. Good luck fellas. It could be any day!!!

If that is true, I have a very decent chance at an MSRP car. That is indeed intriguing. Thanks for the heads up! The email was from Porsche corporate to all the dealers?

Will be interesting to see what a "high production rate" ends up being. It's not like they are going to make 20,000 of these. While production isn't limited it's not going to be insane.

We hear this EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. It will always be far less than demand, by design. Those thinking they'll be pumping them out and getting them at MSRP (excluding MSRP only dealers) are smoking the hopium.

GT4RS's are still commanding pretty high ADM's... they've definitely softened from where they were, but ADM dealers are not letting them go for MSRP, not sure why anyone would think the SRS will be any different.

exactly. Porsche knows how many likely buyers there are for a $200k+ “convertible with a manual roof” and they are will build “n-1” …

needless to say. I’m one of the “n” and hope my lottery ticket hits.

Now that’s funny!

Remember years back when AP said the motorsports department was going to churn out enough GT cars to stop the flippers?!

Good to know comedy still lives on at Porsche!

If I may... Is your SRS confirmed to be delivered in 2023? Contract signed by Porsche/dealer? Ciao!

I hope they make enough to meet demand, but that can only really happen with a 24 and 25 MY production run...

Sadly 4RS is no where close to meeting demand with MY23/MY24. One of the largest East Coast dealers told me they still have a massive list for the 4RS and those on the list are now starting to freak out that they won't get an allocation before production ends so they are just paying up for used ones.

The spyder has always undersold the gt4, and I imagine the extremely manual nature of the roof and the fact it is pdk-only will discourage a reasonable number of people. But there is that engine and that sound (and RS label). I would say the demand might be lower due to the factors mentioned, but then this board has been swamped with all the newcomers from the 911 board showing up, looking for info (and pontificating ad nauseum to us mid-engined bumpkins lol). It will be interesting to see how it plays out. Production well under demand seems to be the reliable pattern, lately.

Looking at the NA production numbers thread, there was something like 30% more GT4's produced to Spyders. Demand for Spyders was less, so they produced less, however that still didn't stop ADM dealers asking up to $25k ADM on Spyders, and there were still plenty of people who missed out that had to pay over MSRP on the used market. Lower demand doesn't mean necessarily equate to excess supply.

I'd imagine the spread between the GT4RS and SRS will be similar. Anyone thinking the only GT3 engined Spyder ever produced is going to be sold at MSRP by these same ADM dealers..... imma pray for you!
