Has anyone used Soul Race Exhaust Package without the resonator? I was thinking utilizing their pipes along with the race exhaust without resonator to get the lightest package.

Think I saw someone in the 4RS Facebook group have that up for sale and someone asked if there was drone which he replied back saying there was a good amount of it.

You will get drone...even with resonators you will get drone (less of course)....the only option that minimizes the drone to almost nothing is their valved muffler in any combination.
The rear section/muffler is the only item that controls the drone in the GT4/RS

How do the aftermarket exhausts affect the noise of the airbox, generally speaking?

I wouldn't want to get anything that would "outdo" the intake noise, if that makes sense...

Sounds so good, I probably watched the video 10 times. How is the drone/resonance at low RPM?

I have the Fabspeed OAP + rear section and the intake noise is not outdone at all. It's all intake noise above 5-6k RPM basically and below that you get a nice throaty exhaust noise now along with crisp downshifts.

I did talk to someone who did headers, OAP and rear section which they said overpowers the exhaust and was too much for them so they removed it.

I can still hear the air box noise just fine. A little more drone noise around 2k. If you have the windows down you definitely will hear less of the intake noise but with windows up can you still hear different frequencies from air box.

drone around 2k that is still bearable for me, that was a big concern I have when I got the exhaust and I don’t want to lose the intake noise which is still there.

I lost all the intake sound when I changed the exhaust. My installer said that was a result of the car breathing better. Others have said it still remains but is drowned out. My Porsche driving Instructer agreed with me- mine was gone. I ended removing the system because of this.

What system did you install and then later remove? Which components?

OMG, so much reading. Interestingly, I have a different set of requirements. I don't care what the car sounds like outside. I would like-

1. More power
2. No drone or less than stock.
3. Lighter weight (if possible)
4. No titanium (it cracks).

Any ideas? I love long-tube headers, but I assume they require a specially designed rear section to reduce the drone they specifically create.

Soul full system? Fabspeed full system? Either would be with cats so I don't get a CEL.
