PDLS+ Availability Discussion
#46
Burning Brakes
My contact at PCNA that I try not to lean on too much said PDLS+ has been discontinued for MY23 as of 8/4. Would love to hear additional info if anyone has some from their SA.
One of those affected should reach out to their SA for a PSVMS screen shot on option availability.
If it is temporarily constrained it’ll show the weeks unavailable. It’ll also show the week discontinued if that is the case.
Yellow Deviated thread was recently discontinued…

I am torn on the stock lights vs PDLS. Anyone have any good pictures showing a comparison of the two, especially at night?
I also have PCCB specc'd. I am afraid that adding PDLS now will affect my build date and possibly cause me to lose PCCB. Any thoughts? I've reached out to my SA, waiting to hear back.

I think Porsche is doing this for PCCB for GT4/Spyder, right? For MY2023 us 718 4.0 customers don't have the option of speccing PCCB.

Yes, they are. My SA emailed me this morning letting me know that LED headlights have been removed for ALL 718s, including the GT4RS.

I've just come back from an in person visit with my SA and dealer manager regarding this issue.
My '23 PTS GT4 has been 'V215 blocked by PAG' since May, and PDLS+ still shows on the build with no warnings in the system. The SA showed me the screen where these types of issues are normally flagged, and there was nothing.
At this point, I remain cautious about the availability, but I think it would be valuable to have people post their production status also; ie V170, V200, V215, etc.
I'm wondering if it's possible that your particular status may make a difference, even if all models are technically 2023.

You heard right from your contact. I wonder if it's a chip issue or just supply chain issue in general.

Man...since my Spyder is truly a "keeper", this would drive me crazy. I am glad I didn't have to face this issue, because I really wonder if I would want the car.
Yes, to me, the lights matter that much.

Looks like Bose is stop order too

Yeah, I saw another post yesterday saying Bose is also stop order. In the grand scheme of things, Bose is one thing, but the LEDs dramatically affect the look of the car which is important to many of us. Especially since the LEDs match the rear tail lights so perfectly.
I know that Porsche won't, but they should put together an upgrade kit in the future so that folks can upgrade to the LEDs later on. I already called a Porsche parts department, and there is not "kit" to retrofit into LED headlights, so they wouldn't even touch the job since it includes a lot of new wiring, etc...
