It can also increase kick-back / bump steer in the steering wheel if you are using a good amount of shims on the LCA. That is why I am forgoing moving to the APEX wheels, as they do the same thing as adding spacers on the front. I am using stock top mounts and have my -2.5 neg, camber from shims on the LCA and that is the max I can change the front geometry scrub radius without inducing too much kick-back into the steering wheel.

You mean use longer bolts for anything over 5mm, like 7mm, you have to use longer bolts, what about 5mm? Need longer bolts too? Just wanna make sure as I recently bought a set of 5mm spacer from FC, and it didn't come with longer bolts and I wonder if I need them or not?

Thanks in advance!

Longer bolts are needed for 5mm spacers, and anything wider as well. I have heard of someone using the stock bolts but they did not get the required # of turns to be considered safe. When Porsche installs 5mm spacers at the factory (or when they used to) they used longer wheel bolts.

Thanks! Can you advice where to get the longer bolts for the 5mm FC spacers?

You can buy extended wheel bolts from numerous sources, even Amazon (https://www.google.com/search?q=pors...hrome&ie=UTF-8) but I would suggest using a place such as FCP Euro or Pelican Parts so you can ask what length you need for the size of spacers you are using.

Do not buy cheap Chinese bolts from Amazon. I had a set snap on a C63s from 42 Draft Designs. Get a trusted heat treated and hardened set.

If you'd like to get the official Porsche ones with the floating collars, Suncoast sells them. Just be sure to check the box for the ones made for 5mm spacers. On their site they show the year for Caymans as up to 2021, but those are the same for all of the 718s... they just must not have updated their dates on that page since 2021.
