PCM model is 4.0, version is shown above in the picture posted by @718socal
Have you connected your phone to the PCM with just a USB cable? No Ottocast?

CD Less PCM Question
Hello everyone once again! Hope this message finds you all well! Has there been any progress with being able to make it work for the CD-Less PCM?
About tempted to buy from SunCoast the NAV Module and getting it installed. If I were to go that route, would I need PIWIS to get it to work? Dealer only install? LVDS cable to cluster and PIWIS coding for that as well?

Got my 2024 718 GTS, build started around April/May, and it has the CD-Less PCM 4.0 MH12_ER_POG11_P5250, MU software 1502
Going to go order a Carlinkt 4.0 now My other 718 GTS (2022) has the proper PCM 4 with the cd player, and MIB worked flawlessly on it!
Interesting thing: I couldn't get to the screen under settings to check for HW and other SW version info, just the Dev console for the version information of the software.

This screen which others keep posting I think this could be accessed under Settings in the PCM menu and it would have a submenu called Version Information. I don't think I see it on the new one. Let me go check the old GTS to see if I am looking at the right place
EDIT: Never mind, I am either blind or I shouldn't be trying to do stuff at 2 am in the morning The menu is right there on both cars. The new one has HW version 60, the older one has HW version 56.

Cool, that is what I figured, the operation is pretty much the same, except no disc player now.

Yep, correct. The 5.0 unlocks Wireless modes for their Wired systems; AKA, if you have wired CarPlay, you will get wireless carplay, if you have wired Android Auto, you get wireless Android auto. If you have wired both, you get wireless both. For 718, since we don't have Wired Android Auto, it won't work for your Android phones.
4.0 works as a cross platform adapter, to put it simply It connects to the PCM's CarPlay protocols, and makes your Android Phone use it, through that system. So, you are not going to get same low latency and I am assuming few less features as well compared to having native Android Auto support. If you have one of the older hardware, use MIB.
I still don't get why Porsche had to switch over to a new HW module for the last production batch. Maybe to cut production costs by not including the CD/DVD drive in the unit?
