PIWIS 3 Coding Retrofit and Feature Request

I disagree. I disabled it on my car too. I found I often had to slip the clutch a LOT more to get HHA to disengage when pulling away. Made it hard to feel the engagement point too since the car never started moving until I gave it a ton of clutch and throttle.
I know how to drive a manual. I don't want the computer "helping" me.

Guys, @718socal remotely activated the keyless frunk & trunk sensors I installed, added remote convertible open & close with the key fob, and actual water temperature instead of the 194 degree max threshold measurement in my multifunction cluster gauge on my car. That is all my car needed but there are other settings that can be changed too if one wishes to do so. The process was extremely straightforward (for me that is!) while I sat back and watched Phil work his magic. Very gratifying to add missing functionality that the dealership said was just not possible. If anyone else is interested in learning more, give @718socal a shout via PM. Highly recommend it!!

Has anyone removed their door panel?
I am looking for a 6 pin connector in the driver door wiring harness. In PETKA, it shows that the wiring harness is the same for all 718 with no mention of Modify by Workshop.

IMO, I would not disable them. If you want to test this, replace Option 638 with 637 then Auto Code PCM and BCM Hinten. That should disable the Front Parking Aid alerts. Another way could be to adjust the distance when they trigger the beeping sound for each front sensor. Good luck

awesome thank you for that!!!
what about extending the cable on them ( they get sheilding on my light bar and I was thinking of trying to move the 2 middle ones also if that worked?
if not I will want to code them out as its a pain manually turning them all off every drive

It's relatively easy now to setup a PIWIS 3 system yourself.

Post 127. It took me a while to find it in E mode. Easier to run it in V mode but don't run the VAL.

What does the over-rev report look like on the 718? Does it tell you what engine speeds correspond to which ranges? I'd love to see what one looks like, so feel free to unicast me if you have one handy!

A couple of images from a GT3 - same layout for all sports cars
Measurement of overrevs is not entirely reliable, being open to false readings due to "jitter" as it reads (I think 36 teeth) toothed wheel using Hall Sensor with 9k revs on a GT3 that's a lot of teeth to count per ms

RAS deactivation at will from instrument cluster.
Wanted to post on this thread as I feel is the most comprehensive on PIWIS coding help / info I’ve found, rather than starting another thread. Already tried many of the other changes shared on this thread. I found one I have not seen and wanted to share. First off, huge props to @718socal and @rnlst_log for their contribution on these threads, their help has been invaluable.
As usual, try at your own risk. Not my fault if this does not work or causes problems to your car / injuries. And full disclosure, I’ve tried this on my driveway only, and totally works. On/off at will, BUT I have yet to try it at speed. But know this is a setting already available I believe on the Panamera or so I read somewhere, and essentially it’s designed to deactivate RAS to allow driving with snowchains. Which makes sense. And frankly RAS is so awesome, that there might not be much desire to deactivate it, but having the option is always nice. For the “purists”, or drift monsters, having a RAS equipped P car that’s selectable on/off could have an appeal. Cheers.

Update: So I was able to drive it in town with RAS deactivated last week (snow chain mode on), but at city speeds only. Can clearly tell a difference in the parking lots, but at city speeds, no so much; only annoyance was when cornering, you get a warning/reminder in the cluster display that RAS is deactivated / non functional. I’m sure one could go back to PIWIS under Kombi and deactivate that specific warning so is not driving you crazy. Also, as expected, you can only switch back and forth when the car is stopped but can be in gear and it switches on/off quite quickly.
Code at Kombiinstrument>Bordcomputer Menuekonfiguration>Hinterachslenkung and set to Aktiv.
In the instrument cluster go to settings, RAS, snowchains
Select
Warning shows chain mode active. Enjoy your winter drive, or test your non RAS P-car.
