+3, very curious to hear a 4.5 with the exhaust gasses mixed in the rear section.

Isn’t Matt's 4.5l Deman running a Fabspeed X-Pipe?

Well, if it's the same as my Fabspeed x-pipe, they only mix when the valves are closed, and when the valves are open, they do not mix and just dump out the back. I believe the silenced part is still open as well, it's just that most of the gasses will go through the unsilenced part as it's a direct path. But I'm just theorizing.

Glad to know it's possible! I'd hate to have to trade off my full JCR as well if I ever go the 4.5 route as well. I too am very interested to hear how JCR howls with the 4.5, I hope the inconel still has a nice howl to it with the extra 1/2 liter of displacement! Actually maybe don't upload it, I don't know if I want to know what I could be missing

Yup. In the clip, around the 7:40 mark, he talks about the how the system is a true dual exhaust which doesn't mix the exhaust gasses together. It does sound unique, but I just prefer the sharp, screaming banshee wail you get with the x-pipe rear sections vs. the low, baritone, rumble the stock rear section gives off.

I would say that it suits the character of the engine then...

Unique sound for a unique car, no doubt, but it's still an 8k rpm flat-6. Just an 8k rpm flat-6 with big torque, which is fantastic. If we're saying a torquey engine needs to sound like a lazy marine engine, then it fits.

In my mind, this engine has the best of both worlds; torque and high-rpm power. If it had an "x-pipe" design back box, I think it would maintain that rumble down low but then sound much more dramatic up top. The duality of that sound, I think, would be well suited to the big torque/high-rpm nature of the motor. I'm judging this off my own GT4 with a Cargraphic race muffler and the others I have heard with similar rear sections. It too sounded rumbly and a bit muddy with the stock back box. It took the Cargraphic to change the tone to something more akin to a GT3. Perhaps this doesn't translate over to the 4.5 engine, however. I'm eagerly awaiting a sound clip from JAhmed to hear a 4.5 with JCR!

We're talking exhaust opinions here, so very subjective and all that matters is that Matt is happy. It's an awesome build and I'm very much enjoying all of the content from Rick's 4.5 builds.

My understanding is that with valves closed the banks do mix. So when valves are open isn’t some of what’s going to come out of the tailpipes still going to be mixed?

I’m not an expert in flow dynamics, so maybe with the large straight out path open the contribution from the other path is negligible or somehow completely removed, but on the surface it seems like there should still be plenty of sound exiting the tailpipes that is mixed.

better than a gt3? Have you driven a 992 gt3? I've never driven any gt3 but always chasing the "Best driver's car" - I do think our cars are amazing and just lacking a bit of torque (which you obvi fixed lol).

Separetely, does traction exist on a Deman 4.5 setup? lol

I currently own a 991.2 GT3 and have owned a previous 991.2 GT3 and 3RS (about 50k miles, including track, done between the three)

I also have lots of seat time in the 992 GT3 (all variants)

My car in its current state is my favorite car I’ve ever driven.

The car does struggle with TC off up to about the middle of third gear lol
