Woah, dont drag us into this Our link pipes are Titanium (Asnex) and also come complete with heat shielding. The material we use is literally 5x more expensive, takes roughly 20-25% longer to fabricate / weld thanks to the material qualities and additional care that needs to be taken over the environment in which they're welded in. Also, the heat shielding alone accounts for well over 1/3 of the overall price.

The Akrapovic parts are fantastic value for what they are, a loss leader to help their other Porsche sales, huge companies often do this. Compare the price of the titanium heat shielded link pipes with their rear silencer replacement, it simply doesn't stack up when you consider the amount of material in their rear. The Akra link pipes are closer to stock diameter so not really suitable for those chasing the big power gains but for those looking for a simple cost effective increase in sound they're great!

As our name was mentioned so I felt it right to respond and address as I would hate for our parts to be looked at in the same light. Our pricing is consistent across all of our products, our margins are smaller than anyone else's out there and I do believe that they offer excellent VFM with all things considered.

I disagree, we are fighting the stronger British Pound, the buyer pays the exchange... and if you think it is bad from the US try it from Canada!

some thread on RL is trying to do a group buy of Quick Silver OAPs for under $1,000. Titanium and Inconel notwithstanding... the manufacturing costs and thus the wholesale price of the average SS OAP has gotta be under $1,000/pair. Its an exhaust pipe dammit! I know for a fact what the landed cost of the Kline OAP and Rear in inconel is (I wont say how much or how I know...) but the SS version (OAP and Rear Box) has got to be well under $3k.

Hat's off to Eric @SupremePower for making it all happen!
I must have missed that. Can you say what the price for the GB was for the Akra pipes?

Ive heard that if you get a green marker pen and scribble on either end of the OAP that its good for an additional +10bhp ... or is that a CD???

I’ve had Dundon headers on my 981 GT4, 991.1 GT3 and 991.2 GT3. Dundon uses T321 stainless on all of their stainless products. When my 718 GT4 shows up it will get Dundon headers. In the highly unlikely event I don’t like the headers Dundon will take them back no questions asked.

The tech working on my car has nothing but positive comments on the fit, finish and ease of installation. And Dundon delivers on power.

That may all be true but if one is considering them be sure you like the sound - I am not the only one here that does not care for them sound-wise.

True, sound is a personal thing. Dundon will refund your money if you don’t like the sound. I don’t believe any of the other vendors will do that.

Soul Performance will do the same - good to know that is an option since I agree that we all hear things differently.

I'm with you Bob, sound is very personal, and we all hear drone differently. I prefer a less raspy sound that has a bit more growl and low end sound. Something like the Fabspeed in my previous car. With the new one, I'm loving the inconel options and sounds they offer. If given the chance to spend the same amount of money between them...I'll pick inconel / JCR all day long (sorry to drag you into this Jonny ). But it is personal preference.
