Has Anyone Upgraded Springs Yet?

All of the gt4 spring threads I have found are related to the 981. I assume the dampers/springs are at least a bit different between the two generations. Is that assumption wrong?
Or does the 981 spring upgrade config carry over regardless of damper updates?

A few people have done swift springs on their 718 GT4s. You might do a search for swift spring if none of them chime in. But it seams like it is the same springs as on the 981.

I have Swift springs on my car. Goal was to make the car just a touch stiffer, paired with the DSC Sport Controller, for track days while not ruining the car on the street. I also wanted to keep the stock sway bars useful.
My rates f/r are 336/504. This is about 31% stiffer front, 10% stiffer rear.
I'm pretty happy with it! It's subtly stiffer and better controlled.

I use the stiffer / more track oriented calibration from TPC / DSC. I mean to start experimenting with the settings myself at some point too.
I chose the rates based on the following goals:
- SMALL change. I didn't want to go too stiff...
- I wanted to increase front rates vs rear rates, but not so much that I would make the inherent understeer of the car worse.
So I looked at % increases (guided also by past experiences with other cars), ratio of front to rear springs, and availability of rates from Swift, and settled on this.
Even though I only really drive the GT4 on the track, I really wanted to keep it civil on the streets. And I think I've accomplished that. I'm happy with it. The car is very well controlled.

I did Swift springs and wow, transformed the car, soooo much better. With all the DSC research I did, you don’t need them honestly. Try Swift first and you will see for yourself.

Like the idea. However, does this sort of upgrade see a higher probability of a strut tower failure?

Do the factory springs bind before hitting the bump stops? Just trying to figure out how we are increasing travel assuming the same ride height.
