Default 718 GT4 OBD Flashing

Here at M-Engineering we are excited to introduce the M-Tuner Suite for the Porsche 718 GT4! The M-Tuner suite allows you to OBD flash your car in the comfort of your garage or shop without removal of the ECU. Our software also features the ability to read and clear faults, datalogging, view live data, and flash back to stock at your convenience. Multiple tuned files can be provided based upon your preferred fuel octanes. Please feel welcome to email info@m-engineering.us for more information or place an order.

Excellent!

Can we get this moved to the 718 GT4 specific section?

Can we get a picture of the cable that is used for flashing? Just curious.

Does it also work with the GTS 4.0?

I can do you one better! https://m-engineering.atlassian.net/...tall+Procedure

Right there is the link to the walkthrough on their site. I am actually seeing this for the first time and now i am going to go read it myself along with you guys; they've been ridiculously busy putting a ton of info up apparently yet Mitch answers my half dozen phone calls per day. I had better put something in his stocking this year!

This came up yesterday and i think it's worth mentioning again as i was a big advocate of needing this for our race track customers that need to see a CEL for appropriate reasons. I don't think any of these guys are going to be doing that much more because of the reprecussions. The EPA is all over shops in California. Cats are here to stay on race cars with top tier GT3 and GT4 cars all coming with cats. These guys can't risk their business for $2500 to shut it off. You can get rid of it mechancially. I had them on our R&D car for 4000 miles without issue. When Mitch and I did the tune, never did we even discuss shutting off the CEL because the juice is not worth the squeeze. For the customer, yes, it's huge. It's a massive annoyance. Minicats will get you there.

Yes. Their specialty right now is the new MG1 ECU that is in all of these most recent generation cars. The 4.0L V8 motor in the Cayenne and Panamera, the 992 Carrera 3.0L S and the 992 Turbo S, the 718 NA 4.0L cars... annd then you have the GT3s...their list goes on and on. They're just way way way ahead of the curve by being able to deliver an OBD flashing suite that allows you to do this from your home without ECU removal.

CEL ? what CEL, In 2000 km I saw once the CEL on my JCR race headers, depending on your mileage, clearing the CEL wouldn't be a real PITA #warranty

Hi I have a ROW 2020 GT4 with the GPF on the OAP. I want to remove the OAP and use a straight OAP with race CAT headers. Will the M Suite ensure no CEL? What gains can I expect with stock mufflers?

The M-Tuner Suite allows for multiple hardparts configurations at different stages and can be catered to a specific vehicle. Based on your hardparts configuration stated, the stage 2 map would suit your vehicle with no CEL present. With datalogging we can confirm the vehicle's operation and adjust the mapping if needed. The power gains are listed here in the map notes: https://m-engineering.atlassian.net/...ibration+Notes

We support the GTS 4.0 models. Currently, we are looking for some vehicles in the SoCal area for final verification before a public release.

Here's a picture of the M-Tuner dongle that plugs into the OBD port. This dongle comes with a USB cable that connects to your Windows based laptop.

For that configuration you will want to run our Stage 2 tune which will suit your car for no CEL present. We can confirm vehicle operation with datalogging and make an adjustment if needed.

Let us know what other questions you may have at info@m-engineering.us.

@M Engineering / @BGB Motorsports
- will the tune be switchable from stock to stage 1/2 (or vice-versa)?

Yes, we can gladly set you up with both Stage 1 and 2 configurations in whichever octane you are running. This is included with the M-Tuner purchase.
We also provide an "Uninstall" map to go back to factory stock. You can switch to any map at any time as needed.

Already installed my 992S flash from M-Engineering today. Super easy install and turn around time was quick. Really impressed with the driveability and most of all the massive power increase made on the 992 Turbo motor. I also ordered the GT4 tune, and will install later this week so will give me thoughts on that but based on my 992 experience I am confident ill be happy. Great work to the folks at M-Engineering.
