Memory 18 way seats come with the electronic steering column adjustment. It was on the build configurator for 2021 and 2022. That was one of the reasons why I added the $3000 18 way seat option to my 2022 build configuration.

Yep, it is a $3,460 option in Canada

Dr.Bill, check out this thread. The 992 Turbo people were informed by their dealers that manual steering column adjustment was a temporary solution to computer chip shortages. They have all been promised retrofit of the powered steering column adjustment when the parts become available again.

As far as the speed limit display, I believe this is linked to satnav. Do you have GPS navigation specced and installed on your car?

Since our cars don't have the option for the front camera at the top of the windshield used for lane keeping etc, the only source for speed limit information would be from the navigation system (and unfortunately this can get stale).

As Antipodean says above, without nav you won't get the speed display option.

I do have the entry & drive option and I also noticed the steering column adjustment is manual. On our 981 Boxster GTS (also with entry & drive) it has the electric steering column adjustment. With the 981, the seat and steering column both move back upon vehicle exit.

Are these missing features due to the chip shortage? Or a change in options?

Thanks for any insight!

The manual is rather generic and is of no help. 2021 configurator is no longer active, so I can't see what options it should have had.
I think you are referring to the actual speed limit of the road you are driving on, which comes from Nav. I too noticed that there is no option to have this appear on the MFD. It will show on the PCM screen in map view, when available. My previous 981 would display the actual speed limit from Nav in the lower right of the MFD as well; but my GT4 does not - I suspect the GTS4.0 may be the same.

There are the "manual" speed limit warnings you can set in the "Limits" section of the MFD, if you want to warn yourself of certain fixed speeds... but I don't think that is what you were asking about.

So when I check 2023 configurator the memory package does not mention steering column adjustement. I don't remember what it was in 2022 config when I ordered my BGTS 4.0.

It sounds like power steering column adjustment is a history?

The speed limit feature is linked to navigation and can be toggled on/off in the option menu.

Open Nav and then press the option button. From memory, I think it’s under the set map selection. Scroll down and there is a speed limit check box.

My 2022 GTS is configured with 18-way, see package description below for a Canadian market car. Hope this answer your question

That's ridiculous if damn Canadians get this option and we don't!

Ahhh , NAV the option that keeps on delivering features people ask for!

Yes, I always select that option when building my cars.

I’m picking up my 2022 Spyder on Wednesday, the car has 18 way with memory, and yes I’m Canadian.

I can confirm if the feature is present or not after I pick up the car.

Spyder does not have memory seats and has never had them. The strap door handle precludes it.

The Canadian configurator was wrong last year…sorry, no memory function.

So apparently 992 deliveries are coming now randomly with/without power steering column:

https://rennlist.com/forums/992-turb...tro-fit-2.html

992s delivered in the latter part of last year came with manual column. Porsche originally promised to retrofit them later, but apparently now reneged on that promise: https://rennlist.com/forums/992/1296...djustment.html

Anyone with a recent GTS 4.0 delivery with 18-way sofas can report what type of steering column controls they have?

We certain about this? The memory function I assumed was tied to the key fob, I know it doesn’t have physical buttons for memory.
