^^ It’s the current propaganda, really. +1 Diablo Dude, agreed.

We never got back to 2019 numbers on unemployment.

Buckle up!

I suspect that even with a looming recession, that the GT4RS will still command a premium because of lower that anticipated production numbers, Porsche has little control over this, otherwise they would be pumping them out as fast as the market can absorb them minus one car of course.... the real question is how much that ADM will be......I have never paid a premium for any GT Porsche that I have ordered in the past, but now , even my dealer feels that this particular model deserves one....and surprisingly , I did not disagree.

I could always see the "Market Watch" tendencies of this thread, but thought we were talking about the GT4 RS, not the Stock Market!

Deep breath, I just gave my OK for a July build/November delivery. Will be one of the last 2022s. Part of the deal was trading in my 2020 GT4, which I’ll sorely miss. My first car was a modified VW Beetle turned Baja Bug. Paid $600 for it in 1982 from my valet parking job while in school, took me 18 months to scrape up the dough. Pinch me.

If stocks tank like some think, I’ll be one of those who’ll be investing in real things like watches, cars, gold. I’m sure some will throttle back their personal spending, others will cause collectibles prices to rise because liquidity needs a place to go.

A.) Stocks have already tanked. The S&P is down 22.6% YTD and the Nasdaq 100 is off 25.6%. Growth funds like ARKK are down 75% from last year's high.
B.) Gold hasnt been able to get out of its own way even with the CPI at the highest rate in 4 DECADES because the USD is at a 2-year high due to rate increases.
C.) There is no liquidity in a rising rate environment. That's why stocks and bonds have been tanking.
