I can see the watch being a deterrent for many, but a $50k ADM seems to be the 'bargain' price right now, unless you were lucky enough to secure one from a no ADM dealer.

One thing that deterred me from plunking down the ADM was the fact that the level of customization available seems lower than normal so I have a high degree of confidence that I’ll be able to find a car in an acceptable spec once the car market inevitably corrects.

I would look at it slightly differently. If a Bay Area dealer is down to a $50k markup, that means the market has shifted significantly downwards. Not gonna be MSRP any time soon, but in other markets people may be able to negotiate down a good bit from $50k.

I do think that Marin charging a lower than usual ADM makes sense, and not necessarily indicative of the current ADM market, because they are known to technically be an MSRP dealership - it’s just that the 4RS is obviously a different situation. Carlsen for example is still charging $80-100k in ADM right now.

I got the same call from Marin Porsche. I’ve been on a wait list with a deposit for 4 1/2 years. Initially offered at MSRP.

I had heard the ask was $100k but had never been posed to me.

I don’t think formerly being an MSRP dealer has anything to do with it. They changed ownership and that seemed to go out the window.

How does this get to be in your app? I have a GT4 on order, paid deposit have dates in e-mail supposed to be a September production date but nothing in the app so far, do I need to ping my dealership to get something done here? Still waiting on the GT4RS allocation for same dealer, as I'm not top of the list the GT4 is just in case...

These effing dealers are really shoving a GD watch down their customers' throats in addition to $50K over MSRP? I hope to be alive when the day comes that we can all tell them to F off. Unfortunately that lovely day will also mean my Spyder has devalued significantly. No free rides.
