Sounds like Porsche told all US dealers to cancel unfilled demand orders so that’s usually the sign production is ending.
They're smart to stop producing before the market gets flooded. Mine sits at 1900miles on the dash til my 3RS arrives. Seems the relative bottom of the 4RS market has already been found which is a plus.
I have talked to a couple of dealers who have been told by PCNA they will receive 2025 MY allocations. Obviously, these aren't in the system yet since we are in 2024 MY, but at least there is some 2025 hope for those of us still trying to get a car.
Anyone notice in TYD the GT4-RS picked up an additional 7 bhp...
This was always the case, even for MY 2023 (my car). HPs are measured differently in Europe. There is no HP bump. I got excited about it as well at first 1 year ago.
I never had a car become unstable like that just because of cold tires.
All 718s have this flaw with any sort of braking input, the rear goes super light and the car will snap - the 4RS has this too. The way to avoid this is to get rear toe arms that let you dial more in and the TPC DSC module which adds more rear rebound in braking. The first time this ever happened to me I was super confused because I never had a car snap on brake entry before.
The other way to avoid this is to change the way you brake with a gradual brake entry - say 6/10s to shift the weight forward first and then hammer on the brakes. I couldn't deal with this though so I went for the fixes above and it works. You need both, because even with just the toe arms you will fight the car the entire way through the braking zone - it's wild countersteering in a 4RS all the way down to turn in.

FWIW my allocation is being built in August. My dealer told me they didn't know if it would be a 24 or 25. I don't think they know if there will be a 25 RS model. PCNA did say that Cayman production would have a couple years overlap with the 25 e-Cayman. That was pretty vague though and didn't specify details on the RS version.

Interesting, congrats on the car! From what I am told August would be a 2025 so that bodes well for more RS production.

Isn’t your production starting in late July as of now? Don’t be surprised if that gets moved up. My guess is you’ll have one of the last 24’s built.

Doesn’t sound like your dealer has placed you against an actual allocation. Most know their 2025 MY slots so that looks to be the case here…
