Only 8 now???
You're a funny guy.

Earlier this year you said you had 8.
And two months ago, you said you bought another 2 after telling everyone in the ADM thread to be "patient" for fears of the Recession that you've been calling for.
What happened to your two recent purchases this year... one of which was a 991.2 TTS?

Coupe only, numbered(good luck getting one), manual with GT3 engine similar to what the 911 R did.

I do not even care if it happens or not- I just like the fact the rumors are still out there amongst people who know better cleaners than who I use. Gives us something to anticipate and wish will happen.

From what I understand the 911R was created as a "beta" or a way to reintroduce the manual back into the GT3, it would seem odd to go GT4 Manual -> PDK 718 RS -> Manual 718 RS.

We couldn't do 2 different gearboxes with that big project that it was
We had to wait a little bit, and to introduce the manual gearbox, we put out the 911R
And from that point on... we had the gearbox on the shelf for the next generation GT3 - AP

They are going to continue to make cars as long as there is demand for some time.

I'm not sure which one is right but both seem to feel confident and are well connected. FYI RS Spyder allocations just dropped in Europe for October allocations and March allocations.
how certain is the 718r?

If so 2 things:

1) I need one very very badly, literally would want more than a CGT
2) if they make this that would imply to me they aren’t done with the ICE 718 yet

I think this is right on, they’ll make as many as they can possibly sell UNLESS as I said in the previous post…they aren’t done with the ICE 718

They have done this with every non numbered car since as long as I have been buying porsche. Demand has increased. So has Supply.

Biggest demand now is Cayennes and Taycans on the normal product lines.

I think with Porsche cracking down now on slots and availability will achieve a reduction in overall inventory which Imho is the end goal of Porsche reigning back in the exclusivity aspect of their cars. I believe the 3RS will be the first test with this new business model and will have a trickle effect to lower models that are not on their exclusive lines.

If you look at sales volumes, Porsche primarily makes SUVs and sedans, and they happen to make some sports cars also. But the profit margin per car is higher on the sports cars.

Margin wise that's fine, but from a sales perspective it's smarter to run the field with volume.

I'd love for Porsche to make enough sports cars that, if you want one, anyone can just go get one at MSRP or lower without having to play any games.

With my recent visit to Mayo and many upcoming appointments, I've decided to put some feelers out for my 4RS. After my race car accident, it left me with 3 broken vertebrae, a broken tailbone, fractured lamina and a few other things I can't pronounce. I finally drove it home from the PPF, Ceramic Coating and Tinting on Wednesday. The seats are comfortable, as people have commented. However, I was in pain before I got halfway home. It will be a long haul for me to break this car in so it can be enjoyed. It's an amazing build IMHO...best I've ever spec'd. Everything flows so well with the yellow stitching, belts, etc...even the illuminated door sills show up yellow. It looks amazing. Looking for $260k. Yes, I will make some money on the car. From everything I've looked at on the ground, the price is definitely in line and much better than most with these options. If you know anyone that wants to get into one of these today, please send them my way. Not in a hurry by any means, so no tire kickers/low ballers please. It's not a financial decision for me. It's a practical one in the shape I'm in right now. Less than 100 miles on it currently. Hid the keys from my wife. Better than showroom after the paint correction and treatments. The pics with the tint are before the ceramic was applied. $3800 paid for the treatments with warranties from autospa. Have not listed it for sale anywhere yet.
