my name is Tamer and I live in the motherland of Porsche and I have been a nerd for this brand since 2014.
I´m one of the lucky ones who got an allocation for an SRS and it will be delivered in November this year. Although I went for grey at first I switched to white as grey looks to "gentle" and soft for an RS model especially with WP. Yellow was my favourite but as there are only stitches available in red (McDonalds) or grey (that has a blue shimmering) it wouldn't match imo. I hope I am welcome here and may give you some insides, if requested.
I normally would not have ordered the lift system but I have been "urged" to get to a descent $$$ amount of extras .
You’re buying an expensive fun car. Don’t cheap out on options, build the car as you like it. You can’t add those things later. Yes, the options are overpriced, but so is the car, that bridge is already crossed.
In my case: Bigger availability/ choice of trackworthy brakepads, less sensitive/ expensive discs and red calipers that go hand in hand with the red interiour, the red rooftop accents and the red straps on the cowbells,

Makes sense, though I never saw the SRS (or any open top roadster) being predominantly used as a track car. The PCCB would be perfect for backroads which is where most SRS would be driven.
In the 997 and earlier days I would ONLY do irons if tracking it. I’ve seen pre 991/981 pccbs cool in one track session and more than once. They were super fragile. Post 997/987 ccb’s 1) got a LOT more track durable and 2) have after market solutions like surface transform if you want to keep your oem pristine.
regardless I ordered a 991.2 3rs w wp and irons. So I have no room to talk. Do what you want but I do think it’s a little less no-brainer to choose iron over ccb with todays ccb durability and after market solutions if tracking often. I can see equal arguments on both sides.
Why do I see every car spec with a black windshield frame? Am I the only one who doesn't like it? I just find it abrupt.
I like it but I see your side too. I think it adds more sportiness. But I'm wondering, since it's "wrapped" can't someone order it, and then have a ppf shop unwrap if you don't like?

Thanks for posting that Tamer. I was looking at this thread thinking, "I am so tired of seeing SRS pics with the roof up".
I originally ordered the lift on the 4RS for resell (funny, because I don't tend to sell cars!) as well as figured on a $175-ish car, the option is less than 2% of the cost.
So became a "might as well" option....
Surprisingly, I've used the lift on the 4RS much more than I expected.
Very glad that I added the option.

I am curious to see how the wrap ends in the area you can't see unless the door is open. I think I need to see it in person to decide whether I like it or rather leave it body color
