2021 GT4 -
Had one changed out a couple of months ago, dealer had one in stock.
Took car out yesterday, light came on again - assuming it's the other one.
None in stock at present.

Dealer called and notified me that the part is on back order with no eta and that I can just drive the car.

curious if there’s any long term implications of driving with this faulty warning as id really hate to just not drive it while it waits for god knows how long.

disappointing.

Thanks for the follow up Jon H and glad to hear you are back at 100%. Still in a holding pattern for parts since June here in Canada. It snowed today so she is going into hibernation so it's a next year thing now. ? for you as I may have missed it in your posts. What was your mileage between the two PADM replacements?

Add mine to the list.. Mine is at 4700 Miles. 2022. Took it to the dealership and they told me that they had the part so thankfully will be done within a day or so. Didn't know this issue was common, but i guess it's good to be mindful in the future. Wonder what the long term effects would have been if i kept driving on the disabled state. I didn't feel too big of a difference.

My suspicion is unless the computer notified you of the failure, you would not have ever known . . . and the long-term adverse consequences would be zero.

Hello all,

Does anyone know if there are passive regular mounts that can be used instead and if that fault code can be coded out? I just ask in case there are members who are out of warranty dealing with this issue. Correct me if I am wrong, but it sounds like there aren't revisions to this part so if there are design flaws, the new ones will fail again at some point.

Cheers,
PB

FASTRKMAN - about 100 miles or so.

Honestly if the message had not come up, I don't know if I would have noticed - I'm guessing on the track it would be more noticeable???

In the past, there was talk of installing the version of the GT4RS. But I'm not sure if that has ever been done.

It is a different part and apparently the wiring is quite different also. So not compatible, which is a shame.

As far as I know it is different, no wiring (no PASM) but should fit.

Finally took in my 21 GT4 7900 miles, PADM fault was around 6500 miles. Dealer has had some issues with communication but supposedly both mounts were bad. Parts ordered and arrived within a week. Car is currently being repaired and I’ll see what the paperwork says when finished. Hoping this isn’t a recurring issue for all
of us.
