I now see the race ramps, that is what I call creative problem solving and dedication!

I bought me a little extra color. Didn’t have use for PCCB and didn’t want to pay $8k for a caliper color. This really transforms the car!!!

I ordered mine in black with blue stitching. Hoping it looks good against Shark Blue. But more importantly, I love the functionality of it! Gas on paint = muy malo.

Anything else, @Bob Z. that I need to spend my money on? You're starting to cost me some money! (Actually, my corner of stacked up new parts is very tall. The car better come soon to stop the spending!)

No car yet (expected late Feb), so haven't tried to fit them. Quality seems decent. Got them here:

Forgot about this trick. Just tried it: no sticking. Looks to be legit 304.

Sure looks pretty, but Holy Overspray, Batman! I'm no brake expert, but this doesn't feel right to me.There's a company in the front of every Panorama magazine that specializes in this exact job - I'd definitely consider sending the calipers off to them to do it properly next time. Sure, it'll lay up the car for a couple of weeks, but it'll be done correctly. You don't want to f-around with any component of the brake system, especially on a GT car.

And $8k gets one a lot more than just a color change. I got the Black caliper- PCCBs on my Spyder so color was not the reason!

I am very well aware, Bob. I just wanted the color and not the brakes. Don’t need them. And in typical Porsche marketing fashion, they’re not going to offer a color that comes with their $8k brakes. You pretty much make my point. The color is not the issue. But to Porsche marketing it most definitely is an issue.

The only thing the overspray hit was plastic wrapping. Not a spec anywhere else. And I agree that you don’t want to f-around with any part of the brake system. Disassembling your brakes would be considered effing around….especially if you’re not a “brake expert”. …. I have read numerous stories of people allowing “experts” to disassemble their brakes to paint them. I did my due diligence. There are many more variables in the process you are suggesting. I prefer to keep those to a minimum…. To each their own as it relates to “risk management”!!
