Also, @RGS IMHO, you might want to update your logo when you run out of stock to your orange letters “in front” of a black honeycomb grill instead of lines.
Just a thought…
@SpeedySpidey Thanks for the idea and check out the logo, how does it look?

@kk2 We have a customer having issues removing the side intake trim piece, any insights?

Sorry, are you referring to the piece the grill sits behind? I have a gt4, so I removed the whole side skirt. It’s easy enough that I would suggest going that route if you are having trouble with the plastic insert.

In my opinion looks better than before, but I would "zoom out" the honeycomb and make the holes smaller like 50% to improve the contrast with the letters, and maybe make it dark grey-ish instead of black, so that it's lighter and less busy.

Has anyone experienced the oem grill falling off after doing this? My friend just lost his while driving. Didn't realize it fell off until arriving at destination. The PPF installer did the work and it seemed tight when the job was done.

Is there 3M tape on the 718s that should be used?

Any suggestions welcome.

My PPF installed put mine back on after they were taken off for the side scoops to be wrapped and I noticed one would pop out a little at times so I used some 3M tape on the bottom to secure it so I assume you could add a little here and there.

I literally just used the instructions RGS provided. You need to take the whole skirt off, but it’s not very difficult.

I didn’t even lift the car or take the wheels off.

And they are very easy to install: remove your factory intake pieces, which is very easy and takes less than a minute; here is a video to help you remove them:

I have a 2021 Spyder and opted to replace the factory intake piece with the 2 pieces that come on the GT4 but they work with the factory piece as well on the Spyder and GT4. Once your remove the factory intake piece simply place the grill in first and reinstall the factory pieces. I posted some pictures below and will post more when I get it out of the garage next time - I just got the car a few days ago.

If you have any questions feel free to contact Eric (radiatorgrills@gmail.com) and he will get right back to you....a great guy who strives on delivering a high-quality product for us in the Porsche community, and many other makes/models as well. I can also help answer questions so PM me if so since I would be happy to help since I really like these since the quality and fitment is great.

Thanks Bob for posting this. Just installed mine on the GT4. pretty straight forward. Found leaf blocking at least half the intake when I took them apart.

So, my BGTS has side vent screens already, just back a little further. Are you adding an additional screen, or are the screens that I am seeing something that was added to ‘22 models? I bought the screens before I received the car but don’t know why I would add them at this point.

photos of the OEM screen you are referring to?

AFIAK all the 718's have an OEM "screen" set further back in the intakes, however the "mesh" on those is fairly coarse and thus some material can be ingested, the RGS screens are finer - and thus your are unlikely to ingest a cigarette butt etc...

Yep, okay, I’ll grab a photo and post it later. Thanks kindly.
