Love the analog nature of my '99 996! I've done a lot to it...engine, suspension, cosmetics. To be brief and not derail the thread, service records are critical. Have a PPI done. IMS replacement is nice for peace of mind. If the price is right, go for it!

Just got an email saying the build is complete. Even though it started 1 week late, it finished at the original planned date. On My Porsche I am registered to receive email updates. Looks like the site gets updated after. Never got pictures.

 

from what ive been reading, ever since 718 production moved to Osnabruck, noone has been getting pictures. I'm unsure how true this is but i havnt seen production pictures in this thread since early 2023.

 

I've never received any production pictures for my 718. Build completion date was mid-April this year.

 

What was total time in production?

 

FYI My SRS just finished production and it took 28 days.

 

69 days to go! is there a way to guarantee you get the production photos? definitely something I would love to have. The wait it getting harder and harder! someone sell me parts to keep me busy!

 

Everything I've read recently is that there are no more production photos. Agreed though that it would be nice to have them.

 

Production is supposed to start today but no change in TYD. So that means that either its delayed, or its started and just hasnt updated which is probably the more likely reason. 2 1/2 months to go!

 

Production on mine supposed to have started on 5/1, but not updated yet on TYD (ANXIETY). Pickup from dealer 7/4. Fingers crossed...

 

These updates seem to take a day or two to populate.

Are you signed up for e-mail notification?

Do you use the App or just Porsche Web? I find the App to be the better resource, although they do resolve with each other over time.

Anyway, my car was projected to be completed on Friday, 3 May. I received e-mail notification yesterday in the US early hours that it indeed had completed on 3 May. The App showed the new update, web-based TYD was slower to reflect the changes.

Anyway, bottomline is notification is usually delayed 1-2 days.

Most people (myself included) have been reporting about an 8 day delay. Doesn't push the delivery date back. Your dealer can tell you more

 

oh yeah im not worried, same thing happened with my GT4. I've been tracking it on both the phone app and the browser.

 

Got my allocation, July build, Aug 9 delivery....so I'm told
