After 13 months, time for me to exit the waiting room. And yes, this is how I took delivery. Completely wrapped in original protection inside and out. My PPF installers were ecstatic. Paint was in great condition, despite sitting at the factory, Emden and on a ship since entering into production on April 5th. I got to drive it 8 minutes down the street from the dealership to the detailer. Felt very anticlimactic and can't wait to actually drive it next week after PPF, tint and TWL ducktail get installed. Good to drive stick again - took me a minute to remember what I was doing. 😄

Congratulations and that's awesome that they let you have the car like that. Since my car will have to be transported home and is going in for PPF, now that I've seen it done, I'm going to ask my dealer if I can have my car that way too.

Best way to ask your dealer to deliver!

Same plan for my GT4 if my ticket ever comes up. I'm running the full Obsessed garage wall mounted kit. Ill do most PPF prep before letting the PPF installer finalize detail, save them some time.

Did anyone else go from having v200 with known dates to this today?

My SA reached out with some bad news: Per SA, LED headlights are not being offered in 2023 and were removed from my build and replaced with xenon lights 😑

What? That's crazy. The LEDs are kid of the Porsche signature look. I guess they are keeping them for the 911s.

Well I guess that is why my dates vanished on me. I have PDLS+ as part of my spec.

^ I on purpose ditched LEDs (PDLS+) for PDLS. Still awesome lights, bulbs can be replaced, vs. $3k for headlamp assembly. Less complexity without pointless auto high beams. Win all around.

Be happy.

Do the PDLS still have the quad daytime running lamps in them?

yea but they’re smaller and closer together and don’t look as good imo

To each his own. IMO they look better on HIDs. They are spread out too much on LED for the size of the car/headlight assembly.

This is terrible news. I just emailed my SA and tried to confirm for my 2023 build.

Ah that's too bad to hear about the PDLS+. I feel like its such a Porsche signature for the newer cars. I opted not to get it as the car won't see much nighttime driving and I don't mind the xenon headlights at all. But im sorry to hear that it may not even be an option for those who have specced it.

Uh oh. Hope you're not going into V170 limbo. This happened to me back in April.
