Anyway, my TYD was updated this morning. My Start Production is still tomorrow, but all of the Production Completed CP8.0, Ready for Transport, In Transit to Emden and Arrival at Emden dates are now 7/22, two weeks later than before. On Vessel is still 7/29 as before, and En Route to Porche Dealer and Arrival at Porsche Dealer are now again both at 8/19,instead of En Route on 8/19 and Arrival on 8/5! Hope you have some news too!
Yup back to normal and showing this. Drum roll please.

Good news and bad news.
Good news: My car is at the dealership.
Bad news: They want me to waste an entire day of my life on a highway to sign papers...in 2022.

My 2023 build is finally frozen. Officially joining the waiting room. I must have one of the first 2023s if @MaddMike still has a 22.

When is your build date? My 2023 starts 7/29 and finishes 8/26. Assume that's close to the start of the 2023 MY.

Start is 7/22. Cp8.0 is 7/22. Porsche must have gotten their assembly lines super efficient.

Lucky you! You're beating the August shutdown. Mine splits that August closure

Man, something is going on with 992 TYD dates… go check in the GT3 and regular 911 forums. Lots of deliveries being pushed to November. 🤦‍♂️

I'm in no way banking on my timeline being accurate. If I get my car by the end of the year, I'll be happy.

My car is being delivered to a dealership in Florida, I am in NJ. I already confirmed I won't have to travel, I can sign everything remotely. Sounds like they want you to spend some time under the bright lights in the Finance and Insurance guy's office. Be strong and don't let them sell you anything extra you don't need, and make counter offers on anything you might actually want to buy from them!

Mine has either been the same, or with a 1 week difference between Start and CP8.0, since I've had a commission number. I think all these estimated dates on TYD are pie in the sky until they become actuals. I will say that when I bought a BMW X3 4 years ago, they had a similar online system to follow my car's build, nothing happened forever, and then all of a sudden it went from start to finish in the span of 1 day.

Exactly. I let my SA know that I know that's why the refuse to send paperwork and ship my car. Very obvious and shameful to force a customer to spend the entire day on the highway just to sign papers (and give me the hard sell in the Finance office). I'm already paying and ADM in a recession. Shameful.

Yeah, I actually was messing around on BAT and Cars and Bids bidding on things that were inexpensive and that I can play with till my Spyder gets here as I already sold my 981 Spyder.

I ended up winning a tuned 535i with a manual transmission for less than my inconel exhaust, seat inserts, and PPF. Should be fun to tinker with as I wait and help me scratch that itch.

Maddmike is a couple of weeks ahead of me, so I am hopeful your dates stick Mike!

MY23 Spyder only thing special is PCCB's
Change freeze tomorrow (was supposed to be 6/29)
Scheduled for Prod - 7/15
Prod start - 7/22
Prod CP8 - 7/22
Emden Arrival - 7/29
Dealer 8/26.

I fully expect none of these dates to be accurate. Reasons being
1. I read that Fridays are place holders (dates above are Fridays)
2. start and end prod the same day, I wish
3. Summer vacation for these guys start mid to late July (maybe the 29th?) for what like a month?

I am hopeful I only get pushed back a couple of months at this rate.

That's a shame. My SA said the F&I guy would try to push some financing on me since they don't get any of the ADM in their P&L, but I'm going to resist. The last car we bought was a year ago, there was no actual "paperwork'. The F&I guy's desk was some kind of glass screen. The papers that needed to be signed came up on the desk top, we signed them with a stylus, and we got a usb thumb drive with all our documents in PDF files.

Did any of you opt for the extended warranty? My car should be here some time in mid/late July, and a six year warranty with a few of the the wearables included like brake/rotors/timing belts were tempting. However, things like including one 4 wheel alignment (dealer estimate was $1000+) silly. Why would it cost that much for an alignment when an independent can do that for a fraction of the costs using the same machine?
