I finally joined the gang today. PCCBs, blue stitching and belts, PLDS+, LWB with P1 inserts, Burmester, and inconel exhaust and BMC fliters added prior to delivery.
Went full-circle. Started out with a Aventurine Green GTS 4.0 back in late 2021, traded for GT3 few months thereafter, now back in a Shark Blue 4.0. Loved the GT3, but call me crazy I love the GTS 4.0 even more. Missed it that much. Finally able to take it out for a drive up 89A to Sedona. Arguably the best car I've owned. I'm in love.
IMO, the two must have options are OAP pipes, and a GT4 shifter. Completely transform the car.
Anyone else notice the blue setting on Uniden R7 matches the Shark Blue almost perfect?
did you go with the Numeric Shirt shift? love mine... like a bolt action rifle
I purchased the OEM GT4 shifter from Suncoast. But I have heard nothing but excellent reviews about the numeric shifter! The stock GTS shifter is just too long IMO. This one is about 0.8" shorter and perfect for my needs, especially at the price point of $300.

its a great upgrade... I found my old 981S shifter got a little spongy, its plastic so it flexes. the shifter in the Spyder was a HUGE improvement, and I would bet won't have that flex issue.... I just had read a lot of great reviews on numeric, and thought it would be a fun/patience testing install... it was
@Airbag997 wow great accolades coming back to the GTS. I have a GT4 and I just got an allocation for a BGTS. I also think the GTS will be great, especially for road-trips and overall comfort.

That's great! I also was considering AvGreen and landed on Shark Blue.
OAP pipes, for the win!
I also have a GT4 OEM shifter (paid $100 from a forum member).
I just got an R7 so maybe I'll change the color to blue and give it a try! (I even mounted mine in the same place using the same mount.)
I was on the fence about the color and went between GT Silver, GB and SB for longer than I care to admit. I was actually moving forward with GT and a classic interior but my 981 Spyder was exactly that. In addition, all of my cars have been traditional colors (read boring). GT silver is the classic color way but why repeat my 981? GB is beautiful when perfectly clean but any dust or dirt, it looks like a Camry color and the purple hue made me have second thoughts. A midnight blue would have done it for me but not doing PTS. I did also consider chalk but I think that looks better on the 911.
So, my four-year-old liked shark and it did grow on me. All the silver needs to be muted for it to work IMO as I saw a SB on the lot with silver wheels, logo, etc and I thought it washed out the color.
My wife thinks it is too loud but I think it suits the playfulness of the Spyder. Now that I have car in my possession, I think it is striking and beautiful. My wife admitted that it is beautiful but she likes to fly under the radar. Either way, I would not change a thing in my build if I had to do it again. Very happy with my build and color choice as well as the speed blue extended stitching. Now to finish braking in the engine. Only 1,900 miles to go!
