Sorry, I could be wrong, but is your car an engine replacement car?

 

Lots of people are. Also my extended warranty is not yet attached to my VIN, so looks like some follow up work is required.

From what i heard from the more experienced people on this forum, when the engine is exchanged, there is a sticker applied to the car that links the engine to the VIN and a Certificate of Engine Exchange that legitimizes the engine replacement as officially carried out by Porsche. That's what I am waiting for right now. The SA has to go to Porsche to get it.

Yes, I had to get the original email and read through the particulars and yes you are correct about the Certificate. I did not see a certificate today but I will alert my SA to this detail. Car is getting wrapped on the front parts and I'm out of town for a few and will be picking up the car near the end of the month so there is time to attend to the details but it seems to me like everything else that this will be sorted out in steps since this is out of normal processes. This is a corporate manufacturer issue and the dealers and their staff aren't as informed as you would think since really they are just a local distributor. The only reason I went through all this was because of the offers in the letter so I am optimistic for now that it will all turn out okay and the docs regarding our compensation via warranty and certificate of a New. Engine at port will be forth coming.

BTW the car looks amazing except for the rust on the brakes and the 35 miles on the clock, not complaining just reporting. Rob was super attentive and professional and I would definitely recommend Rob Owens/RiversideWalthers to anyone looking to buy/lease a car.

Oh, and BIG difference in quality of stereo sound in Burmester vs Bose. Love the extra watts and the Red interior and all the leather bits are really nicely done. I have the Red leather Backed Seats and I love the look of the red leather on the seat bottoms too, I also like the leather door sills and leather climate control in Bordeaux and the fancy leather lined floor mats.

SO Just yesterday I found out my car is here and now I'm the official owner. What a weekend.

Hey, let me introduce myself, lol, I'm a sucker for these cars. BOTH one MT(red) one PDK(silver)... One is for commutes to LA in Traffic (PDK). One is for driving hwy 74 to visit my mom (MT).I just think these cars are a deal imho. The 981 Spyder was a deal too so I got two. One guy bought 6 981 Spyders. PDK and MT are two different animals but maybe I'm a sucker for a good looking car.

No no I sold those before the Warranty expired. I only have room for a couple of cars like most peeps.

 

Congrats! I just got the call from Rob yesterday, car left Benicia to Riverside last Thursday so it'll arrive any day now!

 

Ahhhh, very nice, but most of us peeps don't have 2 Spyders. Congrats once again!

 

Just got my car picked up last Thursday and got it back to AZ. Already broke in! It’s off to get ppf today but it was fun putting miles on over the weekend.
