Pointing to this post I made in another thread:

I have a strong feeling that A40 oil is also going to be just fine as well.

For C40 available in the US (Motul 8100 X-clean Gen2):
Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...t_b_prod_image

Pelican Parts:
(1L) - https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/109761.htm
(5L) - https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/109762.htm

Liqui Moly 4110 Top Tec:
Pelican Parts:
(5L) - https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_In...pn=22122-M1458

I just ordered 1L from Amazon because my sensor is telling me I'm at the minimum oil level and need to top up.
All of the above links are C40 rated oil. You don't need Mobil 1.

Are you burning C40 in those?

Sorry... I have not been up there since March when the Covid hit and we stopped flying. Used to go to CYYZ quite a lot as our Canadian office is there, I cannot say that I have ever seen an Amazon truck in Canada so I did not know? I see about 20 a day here.

Since the US cars don't have the important parts of the GPF installed, I suspect that the old A40 oil will work just fine, but if it comes from the factory with C40 then what to do? The new oil isn't compatible with the old, or so they say. I inquired of Panorama about this and Rob Sass replied that after checking with PCNA he was told the US cars have the same muffler as the euro one just without the substrate plugs and precious metal coatings. They didn't want to go to the expense of a separate muffler. But they didn't address(yet, at least) the question of oils for the two cars. Hopefully I'll get some more info on this.

Pelican has the LiquiMoly Top Tec 4110 C40 in liters as well. I was picking up some other parts for a different car so put in 2 liters in my cart just to have.

For those of you in North America with the non-sensored GPFs, that have taken delivery of your MY2021 GT4/Spyders, have you found the usual oil type sticker in your car and what oil does it say to use? Maybe a picture would be useful.
Does anyone know exactly what type of oil PAG is using during the production of the car?
I stopped by my local Porsche dealer service center and, to date, they have not received any of the C40-spec oil. They looked at their service data and based on what is in the cars being delivered in NA and given the fact that PAG knows they were delivered to NA (with non-op GPFs) and STILL directs use of the C40 oil, they highly recommended using that type of oil. Hopefully this oil will become available soon in NA. The Mobil C40 oil is available in western Europe but not the US yet (at least on Amazon). Other types of C40 oil are available in the US (Motul, LiquiMoly) but I would really like to use Mobil C40 if I could get it.

Yeah, its frustrating when Porsche says use C40 but the dealers don't have it. Mobil 1 lists the C40 oil on their website but no luck in finding any that I know of. I used to be an ExxonMobil distributor but I don't have any contacts now or I'd reach out to some of them to see what they know. Probably nothing. It is so low priority right now compared to the overall market that nobody wants to invest the resources necessary to stock and distribute it I'd guess. What is so strange to me is that Porsche is recommending the C40 oil for the 4.0 engined cars yet they don't have an active GPF that is the whole reason for going to C40 in the first place. I would almost bet you could drain the C40 out and put A40 oil in and it would not affect anything at all(except the warranty of course). Getting any info on this from Porsche is practically impossible right now too.

Thanx, N4, for the prompt response and picture. I have asked a colleague at PCNA about this issue and will report back if he has any additional info on this question of C40-spec'd oil and non-sensored GPFs on NA delivered MY2021 GT4s and Spyders.

Mine is down 10-20% at 700 miles. Hard to tell exactly with the digital gauge.

Mine hasn’t burned a drop in 1500 run-in miles.

I check it every drive. Started level at max and still there.

I had the "oil at minimum level" indication come on at ~4000mi. I put in an entire 1L before it stated it was at the correct level again (tried 0.5L first, wasn't enough).
