i was meaning to get Agate Grey with standard black or platinum wheels and Bordeaux/Black leather. I had a medium grey E46 M3 with red leather and I loved that combination. Then I saw the Satin Aurum wheels and thought the Aventurine Green was just too good with those wheels. So it’s AG with Bordeaux/Black and Satin Aurum. I can’t take it home due to the stop sale order but it’s sitting on the showroom floor and I love it.

I thought long and hard about espresso. I think a brown leather goes great with the Aventurine Green and Satin Aurum. I almost went that way but reminded myself that red leather was a must have before I started making choices and made myself stick with that.
The problem with AG, Bordeaux and Satin Aurum is the Christmas ornament association. If I had elected to avoid that I would have changed the paint to agate Grey or GT Silver. Red leather was a non-negotiable for me and I love the satin Aurum wheels. I could have been happy with 3 to 5 of the available paint colors.
I didn’t consider Espresso/Cognac because I like leathers with a richer color than Cognac such as Espresso and Bordeaux. Also, I had a 987.2 with cheap leather in a color similar to Cognac and it picked up blue from denim over time. Espresso/Cognac is a great color combination but not high on my list.
Amazing! Aurum with Bordeaux is already a bold combo, then Aventurine even bolder. I would not have considered this combo but it just works. Well done!

I’m trying to decide whether I’ll spec the new connecting rods in Aurum or Aventurine Green.
