Stock Exhaust - anyone satisfied?

Update:
My spyder has the cargraphics valve controller and I am really happy with it. If you like the stock sound >4K rpm, put in a valve controller and it fixes everything
However, I got a ride in another rennlisters gt4 with soul race exhaust today. Wow, it transforms the sound and it's amazing. If you want more gt3 excitement in the sound get one of these

What also amazed me is how fast he shifts, boom and another gear goes down!

I've seen that video recently and the two things that really got my attention were .............
(1) The stock exhaust sound.
(2) The Bose Audio sound system.
Of course we are all listening on our home computers with whatever audio systems we have.
I luckily have a pretty nice audio system with separate Bass speaker.
So for me listening for both the Stock Exhaust as well as the Bose Audio they both sound Damn good to me.
If the GT4 Stock exhaust sounds even near what I'm hearing from this video as well as others I'm 100% in guys.
Same for the Bose System.

The problem with the stock exhaust is not how it sounds above like 5000rpm or under hard throttle. It's how it sounds at partial throttle and at lower rpms which is how we all drive a not insignificant part of the time. It also matters whether you are in a hardtop or open top car. In my Spyder, wind noise and the open nature of the car make the exhaust sound much less of an issue. I also have the Burmester audio system and am enjoying that experience much of the time at lower speeds. And, as I said, when wringing out the motor, all is fine sound wise. I am just not so sure that the bang for the buck is really there in an open top car, for me anyway.

I believe with the correct choices of optional equipment you can have two great audio experiences, IMHO the exhaust needed the rework and now sounds incredible at all rpm's and with a valve controller and symposer delete I can fully the enjoy music while I cruise around my Spyder!

I haven't driven my GT4 PDK with stock PSE for a while due to lockdown, but last trip I used my noise cancelling airpods which work well with Apple Carplay. Quietens everything down and no drone or symposer noise. I have pretty crook hearing (and use hearing aids) and the airpods really suit me.
PS. You have to first disconnect your iPhone bluetooth from the PCM for the airpods to work.

Some 981 and 982 sounds. Definitely a difference in pitch, do those over run noises get tiring in the 981? Towards the end of the video there are some drive by's...

Nice vid. The 981 sounds like the 718 should've sounded. 718 is going to generate a lot of $$$$ for the aftermarket.

Can one live without changing the 718 exhaust, yes. Is the can significantly better with a tuned exhaust solution that swaps out the OAP, rear section and/or the headers in any combo... absolutely. That you can put on this mod, drive the car then sell the exhaust later for a good chunk of what you paid and get enormous additional enjoyment makes this mod a no brainer. An aftermarket tuned exhaust will not be noticeably louder (especially if you pull out the soundakator and throw around a little Dynamat in the engine compartment) than stock and when you give it the beans its way more satisfying.... and 7 to 8000 rpm is magical.
