Ordered Kline Inconel exhaust with Kline OAP and soul valve controller to keep the valves open all the time. Will be installing them in the spring since I'm up in the Northeast and it could snow anytime. Can't wait to hear how it sounds.

This is their Stainless steel setup they sent me of an EU CAR so I went ahead and posted it on YouTube so I can share. I originally wanted titanium because its the high pitch I'm looking for like a 3RS, however JCR was a bit too expensive for me. So I heard inconel is very similar - I went with that. I had no idea they had an exhaust until I asked about it. I guess they need to market more lol.

Can you elaborate on this?

718 GT4/Spyder Kline Exhaust Stainless Steel OAP & Valvetronic exhaust. Stock Headers - YouTube
Is that just the muffler or muffler and OAPs? I used to have a Kline exhaust on my 996C4S, it was a lovely sounding thing.

Cheers,
Harry.

Well when you really look at the GPFs, which are really just large CATs, it’s obvious why the situation is what it is.

Familiar with the phrase “Turn it up to 11”? Well that’s it in a nutshell.

Not just a volume increase, but also tonal.

While you can watch the Soul videos of GPF delete and think yeah that sounds ok/good. I’m telling you that in person it’s spine tingling. This is with the top up BTW.

Lastly, I drive this car aggressively, even during run in, and noticed after pipe install the back end sliding out a couple of times under throttle. This never happened before. Temps here in south
Texas were in the low 70s...so not due to “low temps” and consistent with every other day I’ve driven the car.

Question is... Has anyone done a back-to-back comparison between the GPF 982 & last gen 981?

OP: I have both 718 Spyder with cross over pipes and valve control unit from Soul. as a street set up
and a 718 GT4 with race exhaust. as a track set up also from Soul
No sense from driving either one with stock exhaust, because, no matter what people say , the fact is, the cars sound in neutered until you get the RPM over 3500.
I would highly recommend that you consider an alternative to OE exhaust based on your need.
Soul has a great product and they back it up with excellent customer service.....

This is my first Porsche so I don't have other/older Porsche's for reference. I've had M3/4s, GT350s and just recently a ZL1 1LE. I think it is fine and in the middle of those vehicles. Worst being the BMW S55 and best the GT350s Voodoo. I haven't heard any sound clips, but the aftermarket exhaust prices on these (nd other German brands) are ridiculous IMO. So stock will have to do for me.

We also have a C63S, so I can get V8/great exhaust sound fix from that.

I agree that Porsche tax is ridiculous on aftermarket parts... I also owned a 2017 GT350 and the stock exhaust was insane, all the way to 8250 rpm! I did a resonator delete X-Pipe from corsa and it was 450$...

Hows the race exhaust from soul? Is it super loud or is it doable for a street car? Is your resonated?

Dundon Motorsports has a header utilizing the oem muffler with impressive results. I will be installing these.

I like the sound as long as I deactivate the A. S. S. and thereby, the cylinder deactivation. Come to think of it, I forgot I had a sport exhaust button. I've never pressed it. I think the car sounds fine just the way it is. And I'm really happy that it doesn't have any pops and bangs on the overrun. I always thought that sounded juvenile and silly.

Hard to live with every day especially if you do constant speed often , but the sound it makes is awesome.
