To regain on topic for this - did anyone pull it off?

I am about to finalize my order, there are a few on the lots that are close to my ideal build and for some level of discount id do that versus my perfect build - dont really care about being "offensive" but looking for any data points that meet reality

Yup, I'd agree. My build just got locked, and the gouge I heard from my salesman is that they are struggling to get allocations for ANY sportscars. I don't see how a GT4/Spyder would be sold with such a deep discount off of MSRP. The only thing off of MSRP I'm getting is the few boutique 'goodies' I know my salesguy will throw in the trunk like hats, jackets, bags etc.

The only time I ever got a discount off of a car's MSRP was when I bought my 2010 GT3 because it had sat on the lot for 5 months ... and I refused to pay for the 8k of leather options they had added
to the build ...

I have no idea for the the GTs 4.0 models, too new to tell. It is all supply and demand and this changes based on the world situation today as well as local markets... it all depends on when and where you are. A lot of American content here on Rennlist, most of the comments and beliefs are US centric and have no basis in other locations.

Around here they (SA's) all chant; "...the number is the number, we can see everything we can get a hold of!" What I do appreciate is no ADM that I have heard of on new cars.

My wife and I are buying two cars (GT4 and 992CS)... He says he will do "something" on the GT4 as it comes in before the 992. We will see. Im expecting something like $5,000 or little less as I had told him at the time of order that 5% would be good. Will let all know if it happens.... Has anyone gotten anything off their GT4's?
