Regardless, if date holds, all timelines move up 2 weeks.

But back to your question, easy to delay all SUV, sedans for a couple of days to get the sports cars in the dealerships.
I agree here, they will likely move the cars that are sold first instead of dealer inventory.

2021 SUVs are the only Porsches actually in dealers right now...

My SA also just confirmed that the on sale date has been changed from December 4, 2020 to November 20, 2020. Only time will tell if the new date sticks.

Great news for everyone waiting. I was getting concerned my date would move up closer to the on sale date from my original end of the year date and it did. I should hit Houston on 12/3 now and Porsche is now showing a delivery of 12/11.

I just called my SA today. He also confirmed that the original hold date of 12/4 has been moved up to 11/20.

Strangely, however, my car seems to be on the Glovis Symphony...which seems to still be near the waters of Europe. I think it might arrive in Benicia Port close to 12/4 anyway, which means that 12/4 may end up being my actual pickup date. I don't know if anyone else's car is on the Glovis Symphony, but I guess it's good that it wasn't sitting at Port for weeks on end.

My BGTS4.0 is on Symphony and shows on the way to the Port of Spain as of an hour ago. Dealer delivery is scheduled for 12/11(Seattle area). Given that hasn't crossed the Atlantic yet, and has to go through the Panama Canal, 12/11 sounds plausible

Where do you see it is headed to Spain? I have been using marinetraffic.com to track my car on the Symphony, and it shows it just left the Netherlands and is headed for Brixton (likely to drop off its English Channel pilot). My guess was that it would be crossing the Atlantic as its next move.

This ship has taken a seemingly odd course from Emden, to the port of London, back to Bremerhaven, then the Netherlands to where it is now.

I will be completely annoyed at the world if this thing is now stopping in Spain as well.

My car is sitting at the port (bought at a midwest dealer) and I'll be taking delivery at PEC LA on Jan 8th. Does the car go to the dealer for prep and then will go out to PEC LA or does it go straight to PEC LA from the port?

PECLA said they do the PDI there so I guess it goes straight from port to PECLA.

Mine is sitting at the port as well, trying to find a dealer to do courtesy delivery so I can pick up before December instead of waiting another two months for PECLA delivery

I got another email from PECLA yesterday, this time offering dates! This would concur with the news of the approvals finally being granted. I grabbed the first date offered, the afternoon of January 22.

woohoo! - has your car arrived or is it waiting in Emden, or on a boat just curious as to when PECLA will contact in relation to where the car is...
