Track Precision App

Also on a Pixel 7Pro. Another friend has the same 0% export problem. The dash overlay is supposed to be included on the export right? Otherwise what's the point, you can get the raw video from the recording folder.

The overlay should be in the export, yes. I'm trying this POS tomorrow, along with @Westcoast - wish us luck

I got some data from the session. Fussy ****ing app, but when it works it is pretty great especially the analysis section with comparison laps etc. I had no luck in the morning trying to follow the song and dance of specific steps and closing apps etc.
Here's what did work for me on iPhone:
Here's what did work for me on iPhone:
- Do Not Distrub on
- Airplane mode on (I got a call during a session and it didn't interrupt it)
- Open app
- Plug phone in via usb
- Operate from CarPlay

Another heads-up... once I needed to reverse while on grid and of course the backup cam took over from CarPlay. When I went back to drive, the PTPA screen looked fine, but it never started recording... or I maybe didn't hit the GET READY button again.
BOTTOM LINE: Its an incredibly fussy app... once you get it setup, leave it alone... any interruptions and it most likely wont work. If you do need to interrupt, fully exit the app, disconnect and start over as above.

Another thing its fussy about is if you get a low fuel warning. If you cross the start/finish line with the low fuel warning active on screen it will probably break and lose the session. Make sure you take your eyes off the road and hands off the wheel to clear that message.

There are so many great cheap systems for sale that I don’t understand Porsche hasn’t abandoned the failed project after trying 10 years.
A+ for persistence!
Now get a VBox / Race logic or any of the plug & play systems…

Ha, Ive been saying this for years. PTPA is unfortunately trash particularly since the v3.0 major rewrite. The v2 did get reliable and i understand was built based on vbox app engine but then Porsche decided they wanted to go solo for whatever reason.
Now, get yourself a vBox, AIM, Garmin Catalyst, Racenavigator, Racebox or anything else.
Stop wasting track time and energy on it and just get driving.

I showed the app with the data gathered to my friend who does endurance racing and collects data via the apps noted above. He was impressed with the data the app gathered and how it was presented. If you can get it working, it is unbeatable for the price (zero LOL). Agree though, you can only beat your head against the wall so many times.

The data is gathers is as good as a VBox, arguably better.
No OBD connected tool can give you individual wheel slip or tyre pressures. Even the VBox we had in the rally car didn't do that.
Porsche just needs to give Harry $1million to have his app interface with the Porsche Hotspot. Problem solved.

Agree. However, when I export data as a VBO file, Circuit Tools won't open it due to "inconsistent timestamps". This used to work in a prior version of PTPA, but not anymore. Inspecting the latest VBO files, I can see that the timestamps are no longer aligned at 0.10 second intervals... they were in prior versions and with Harry's Laptimer.
Has anyone been able to use Circuit Tools with PTPA data lately ?
