Above the front center radiator is a plastic (ABS) duct that leads up to the top of the bumper cover where you can see the exhaust grate... just like on the 981's, the picture below should help.

^Thanks Wescoast. Doesn't seem like anything from above could be causing this.

My SA wrote back regarding my concerns about the streaks. Since I don't have my car yet. He's having service look
at the GT4 in the showroom with streaks. I'll report back when I hear something.

So the grate along the top edge of the bumper drains right over the radiator? If so, I'm going to take 'adhesive residue from the transport paper taped onto the front hood collecting upon washing' for $400, Alex...

Porsche has had problems with that paper before, notably when they were putting it on too soon after painting resulting in some clouding on the clear coat that had to be compounded/polished off. I had that issue on my first 981 Spyder.

If it is the adhesive, easy way to avoid this it to tell your dealer not to wash the car during the PDI (which you should be telling them anyway). Then take the car home, plug the grate with towels and do a NoRinse wash of the front of the car and polish off any remaining reside.

If this is on mine when I pick it up in 3 weeks, I'll have the PEC note it and then I will give my detailer a shot at it and report back with results.

Lets say this is the protective film adhesive that is left behind once removed. Should we ask our dealers to not remove the film? Then are we responsible at that point? And what should we clean the hood of the car with?

Metalone, Did you notice any white streaking anywhere else on the car. Maybe inside the fenders, side rockers, or rear spoiler area?

If it is truly the protective film adhesive leaving this residue on the radiator, an easy control would be to ask to inspect the car upon arrival immediately, before PDI and any removal of the protective film. Who's the next lucky member to have their GT4/Spyder arrive?

No, theres nothing .. even looking at the radiator surroundings everything looks spot on. I think it would make more sense to be a batch issue from the supplier than something related at or post production...

Will someone with one of these cars please slide a screwdriver through, scrape some off and give us some pics and comments? Is it sticky? Is it elastic? Does it smell?

Default Radiator streaks

My GT4 has the streaks on the radiator. It looks like the black paint is coming off. The car has 470 miles and I live in Houston

Have you brought this up with the dealer?

OP, have you tried gently scraping a little off yet just to see what it's consistency is like?

Default Radiator streaks

After a second look at the radiator streaks, I agree with the earlier posts that they look more like some type of deposit
