Agreed—crazy times. I just remember my previous orders, they would plan 2 weeks or so, and the actual was always about a week.

Mine went 250 yesterday but it was originally supposed to be 6/26. Hopefully my whole build schedule moved up like that, but who knows. None of the other 'expected dates' have changed.

As mentioned earlier... It is thought that Porsche is moving up lock/freeze dates to better accommodate their supplier deadlines and capacity restraints.

So it looks like production is back on track at the same rate as pre-shutdown! Wow quite impressive and good news as we might get a happy surprise of a earlier production/delivery?? Maybe they are conservative on the planned dates to accomodate for the increase in production? Please please please!!

Hi Guys, I received an update from my SA yesterday. June allocation for a GT4, slipped to July build with the factory shutdown for COVID. My lock date has slowly moved back also, latest move was from 6/26 (in early May) to 7/17 (yesterday).Looks now like my car will be built in late July, and by the looks of the Tracking report below will sit at the factory for the entire month of August either in pieces or just completed. There has been discussion on this forum about Porsche shutting down a bit longer than usual for summer vacation this year, and I believe that is what is happening here? Anyone have solid dates for the 2020 factory shutdowns? Any other thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Update as of today.

Car was supposed to be in factory compound June 12 (as of early June), already delayed. It's now showing still in production and in vehicle compound on July 3. Everything pushed back 2-3 weeks.

I wonder if they are having supplier issues or the physical distance protocols are being modified? I also thought that I read that the factory was to shutdown early for summer break and that is why some late 2020 build were pushed out to 2021 models?

Perhaps you two will just be sneaking through before summer shutdown...

Dealer didn't share any insight. They are saying that my order cannot be cancelled. I am looking into that option now as this is 2.5 months than initially agreed to. Pandemic sure, but not customers responsibility to keep waiting for car with no guarantees or concessions by the seller. It's not an indefinite purchase agreement.

Do you know the early shut down dates? I believe it used to be in August sometime for a couple weeks. Why still have a shut down during this challenging time? It's a Works Council thing, but can they not reach another agreement given the blow to the industry and Porsche.

Will see.

I read it here on Rennlist I believe, but always find it real tough to locate thing with a search...

Anyway, IIRC the summer shutdown was traditionally the entire month of August and I had read that they were looking at adding the last 2 weeks of July as well.

If I were looking at a delivery September or latter I wouldn't be too happy either, to me that is 2021 model territory although then you may have to be prepared for a price increase as well.
