Game over. Please just spare us the marketing or glass half full BS everyone...

Can the 718 Spyder / GT4 sound as engaging as this or not?

Whatever they may be... let’s just face facts, please.

lol you’re comparing a 981 spyder with dundon headers ,to a muffled/choked out oem exhaust system on a 718 gt4/spyder?
simple answer - yes ,The 4.0 will sound better.

Let's just wait to see what a straight-piped 718 GT4 sounds like, lol.

Allright then, I just put in the order!
Am I the first? 😀

Hi Atomark,

Did you place an order / have it fitted?

The sound of my Spyder is killing me. It’s not that its bad, it’s just in comparison to the the 981 version it just sounds strangled..

Interested to hear your thoughts on it,

Many thanks

Kam

Very much depends on the exhaust. Some will continue to sound just as flat and 1970's 911 as the stock car does and some will sound exotic like a modern day high revving centre exit RSR. I guess you can take your pick with the current offerings available.

Very curious as I'm sure I'll want something. Mod all exhausts and currently have Sharkwerks, Cargraphic and Akrapovic with a Rarlyl8 for the 930 soon.

Finding the $6100 CAD + freight steep for a cat back system.

Sold any in the Toronto area? Cars are just landing now.

We have quite a few landing in Canada over the coming weeks

Its not cheap, that’s for sure. However, the value lies in the build time and the materials used. We use Asnex, form all of our bends ourselves from sheet. It’s not the cheapest way but we guarantee results and we’re in control of every aspect.

We could make a SS system with a much more simple OEM like design, retaining the OEM tips but the sound quality is poor and the system will forever be a restriction no matter what you do to the headers and OPF sections.

Bare in mind that our system includes tips, none of the others do.

JCR, I've a very long way to go; just trying to understand what I'm getting into! Here is my plan:
- Open the exhaust valve flaps permanently.
- Add your Titanium OPF Delete Pipe.
- Keep the Cat and Header stock.
- I don't care about power. In fact, I don't mind losing some power for better sound.

So, given these variables, which muffler to use? You have listed multiple. I will then run this plan by my service adviser to understand potential warranty impacts. Then there is CARB (in California)! But, since I'm leaving Cat and Header stock, I should be fine with emissions regs? And, with these, do you expect the sound to get better (including up/down shifts)? Thanks.

I'd be interested in a SS model as well but not if the sound is much worse than the titanium version. My issue with a titanium exhaust is resale value since I plan to lease my GT4.

At the end of your lease you could reinstall your stock exhaust and resell your aftermarket exhaust on Rennlist quite easily I suppose!

can you mix match other opf delete with your centre bypass? I’m just going to get the non silenced racepipe ,and get an ss opf delete or something along those line.

That's the plan, but my understanding is that titanium exhausts are affected by mileage a lot more than stainless steel exhausts. Is that not the case?
