I would imagine the base car would have a painted carbon hood and fenders, GT3 brakes, most of a GT3 engine, bucket seats with no cost option for 18 ways, carbon trim, so it's not hard to get to +30k and with the current market +40k. The real question is will they included the exclusive design fuel cap as standard?

I'm curious which parts of the GT3 engine you think will be omitted?

The crankshaft.

Serious side note, Does anyone know if they have had any advances with Piezo injection? When the Spyder/GT4 were launched, I remember reading something about the Piezo injection system not being able to support operation beyond 8000 RPM. Clearly, the 4RS revs higher than that. Don't think the 992 GT3 has Piezo injection either. If the motor in the 4RS was a 9A2EVO variant, they would have to get this system to work at higher RPM, no?

Motor mounts, oil tank, air intake, etc will all need to be adapted. Ergo, no GT3 motor as in GT3.

Pretty much. It's hard to say because it will be more about marketing and optics than engineering. They would need the top end from the GT3 to get over 8500rpm. I think it would be less expensive to modify the GT3 engine to fit the 718 than it would be to modify the GT4 motor up. How could they justify a third NA engine design?

Why not? Its already given that 9k redline, power required a change to the PDK. Question is what king of LSD will it have; mechanical or variable?

My reply didn't come across correctly. I hope they don't omitt the PDK-S. But is might to save on cost...

If the GT4 regular PDK can handle the torque.

Even Better.... A manual!!!!

The biggest advantage of the GT3's PDK is that it has lower and closer gearing than other versions (utilizing all 7 ratios for performance only). From the lap video, you can see that not only is the gearing in the 4RS as good as GT3 - it's even better...

The caliper bolts on my buddy's 2021 GT4 are silver too...

Interesting, looks like a running change as another iron rotor 2022 has the silver bolts but my 2020 has red bolts. Anyway, the GT4RS still looks to have the larger 408 mm rotors to me.

PDK (911 GT3 with PDK: fuel consumption combined (NEDC) 12.4 l/100 km, CO₂ emissions combined (NEDC) 283 g/km)

718 Cayman GT4 RS

Fuel consumption / Emissions
fuel consumption combined (NEDC) 12.3 l/100 km
CO₂ emissions combined (NEDC) 281 g/km

Similar consumption and emissions is strong evidence that it is basically a GT3 engine.
