I also have a 981 GTS in Carmine Red and I think it is Porsche's best colour. That being said I think Chalk is awesome, so that is what I am getting.

I’ve been debating between Guards Red & Gentian Blue for months even after seeing them both in person.

I ended up choosing Guards Red simply for a change. My past 3 cars have been different colors of blue and I’ve never owned a red car. Time to mix it up, variety is the spice of life

+10000 Carmine Red is the BEST! I was disappointed for a very long time when it wasn’t offered on the GT4. I still am sad now again after reading your post

Deep Blue, Black and Red for me look great on sleek sports cars. This cx75 looks great and I wish they produced it. It definitely helped with my colour choice and combination of my Spyder

I went with dark look too. Gentian, black wheels, red belts and stitching. I think GT4 looks more sinister in dark colors, but not a fan of black...so Gentian it is. And I am stuck with it since build locked!

Guards red is my safe choice, but I’m still fixated on the white w bronze wheels as well. I may end up biting the bullet and going with Miami Blue. Like I said - all over the place lol.

Fortunately since I still have a few months, I’ll get to see plenty more photos + some in person to help make up my mind.

The Aurum colored rims are a bright gold (brighter than what the configurator shows). I wish an actual bronze color was offered as I would have chosen that with my Gentian blue order.

I went with Gentian Blue but having second thoughts after seeing a white one. But frankly the car looks amazing in pretty much any colour

Yes both white and crayon looked great especially with the contrasting black parts - roof, lip, scoops, etc. Also the lines stand out better so it was very tempting and seeing one at auto show looked great.

Guards Red Spyder, silver wheels, red bits on the interior. Picking it up in Zuffenhausen in a month. Can’t wait.

So what is the thought on have too common a colour?

I see that Gentian Blue, GT Silver and Chalk are ringing in at a collective 60% of all the cars, maybe too many going with those colours.

Are you going to show up are cars and coffee with 3 other example of the same car???

Maybe Black or Yellow is the way to go...

I buy a car for myself - as should everyone. Get the color you want, for your own reasons.
Unless it's black - you're just asking for punishment at that point
