At least it is real and on this side of the pond, so why is it being held, sorry is that May 6th or June 5th? And is this GT4 specific or affects Spyder's as well?

My SA has informed me that my GT4 is completed, but still sitting in Germany.

That is good news, did he mention where it was, still at the Porsche compound, or Emden and if it was still expected to get loaded onto a ship?

As a fellow Canadian I was going to ask about build dates but mine is a Spyder so built in a different location.

My car was V260 about 3 weeks after your V260. Looking at your V900 date. I'm probably late June/early July now

I knew this would be an issue... every new Porsche model over the last year has had delay issues due to EPA certification.

My base 992 had the same issue. I bought a dealer spec. It sat in San Diego from 11/15/19 until I was able to pick it up on 1/20/20. So two months waiting for EPA approval. My Spyder looks to be a month or so behind yours, so hopefully this one doesn't sit at the docks too.

That's funny, my dealer told me the 6/5 date also. Went from early May. Should be on a boat by now heading to Jacksonville

Is the lack of a FAL option on the Spyder going to be a problem on speed bumps and steep driveways?
Does anyone know the lip height on the Spyder and GT4? Seems on GT3 the FAL is a necessity, especially for resale.
Is Alcantara delete option available ? Free or cost option? The dealer didn’t seem to know this and had to get back.

  1. FAL, yep going to be a problem, as for resale, not available therefore not part of the equation.
  2. Lip height, unknown doesn't really matter because you can't change it.
  3. Alcantara delete, not that I am aware of although it can be reduced through the careful choice of options.
