@Yellow Submarine They are not subtle that for sure, but having bought a yellow car I an thinking that you are not too worried about that!

I think they look good although with any surface that is painted you have to be a little concerned with wear, on the steering wheel I doubt that you would touch the insert too often, as long as the seat belt doesn't touch the seat inserts you should be fine there as well.

I think they could have fit a bit bigger brakes on it though...

I've been on the fence about trying to re-obtain an allocation and those black pics have pushed me over the top. I've had black and said, multiple times, I'd never go back, but crikey that color just looks so good on a Spyder or a GT4, particularly with the platinum wheels.

I'll take a definite maybe over a hard no. I REALLY would like a SPYDER in a specific color

You have a point there!

A common complaint about the colour palette available on these cars, I have yet to hear a good reason for such a muted selection.

You mention in your post you also have a 992 C4S. I'm debating between a Spyder and a 992 Carrera S. If you could have only one, and it would be pretty much a daily driver, which would you pick? I love aspects both. Although I've driven a Carrera S, but of course not the Spyder yet, it would seem from what I've read, the driving experience is excellent in both, but different. As a side note, I have an order pending with my local dealer for a 718 Spyder, with PDK. Anticipated delivery in 2021. Thanks for any perspectives you can provide.

Not sure where in the chain your sales manager got his info, but it looks to me like there is still hope.......I HOPE! lol
This is a great info! And, changes the availability variable from 'No' to 'May be'. That's a change I can hang my hat on!! I'm sending this to my sales manager; and, going to delay my allocation further. I've a guaranteed commitment for a PTS allocation should that happen (I have the first-refusal). Thanks for sharing.

Long time reader, first time poster.. Trying to configure a 718 Spyder, pretty much settled on GT Silver with the Spyder Classic roof/interior. I saw a GT Silver GT4 and loved the way the Satin Platinum wheels looked on it so I've been trying to find pics of a Spyder Classic with Plat wheels but to no avail. Has anybody seen one? Is there a reason not many people have specced it this way?

I swear I’ve seen photos of that combo somewhere but I can’t recall. Or at least silver with platinum and black roof for sure. If I locate I will post and PM you.

Thanks for trying, I've seen a black roof with the platinum wheels but not a red roof....really don't want to screw up my build! After seeing that Black Spyder with PCCBs and yellow stitching I wanted to scrap my whole build and go with that one, just gorgeous!

Yes there is a reason: platinum wheels were not available for the Spyder. Until very recently.

Ofcourse it would be possible to swap the wheels from a GT4 to a Spyder.
