Does anyone know the difference between Leather/Alcantara with deviated stitching and extended deviated stitching? If I add the leather/alcantara to the configurator, then add steering column in leather for $470, it seems to add stitching to it. However, there is a $670 option under "Seat Centers and Stitching" heading for seemingly the same thing. If you select extended deviated stitching, you seem to get all the same stitching as the leather/alcantara package. Indeed, it costs about $1700 more than just selecting one of the base colors. Is it just so you have a wider variety of colors? I would hate for the leather steering column $470 option to not come with red stitching if I select the leather/alcantara with deviated stitching.

Anyone doing GT Silver with Aurum wheels and standard red brakes? I kinda like it, especially with a red 12 o’clock and red belts.

Here is what I'm thinking: http://www.porsche-code.com/PLNC9UT5

Any comments or suggestions?

BTW, probably a stupid question, but is it normal that my dealer is adding $1,250 in freight in preparation in addition to the $1,500 Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee?

Your location might be helpful with this question.

I'm Canada as well, I've been quoted the $1250 prep fee and $100 Ac tax to be added to configurator pricing.

It looks like a great build...and a great price (if it's in CAD). Personally, I would not spend the money or the weight on the Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18-way) seats. The base seats, IMO, work great for most instances, if you're not going with the LWBS.

You can always try pushing back on the extra fees, but it may just be "part of the deal."

Enjoy!

Thanks! It's indeed in CAD; I was quite happily surprised by the exchange rate. It's not too bad compared to what I've seen in the past.

I'm still not sure about the seats. I had in mind the LWBS initially but my SA advised against it (will probably not do that much track). Then I was inclined to go with the 2-way but changed for the 18-ways for the adjustable bolsters. Isn't that worth the extra price (and extra weight)?

Hard to push back on these fees on a car with a long waiting list. They are in a position of power. As for the buckets tough call but they just look like they belong in that car. Makes the inside look as good as the outside. My SA also recommended “the lazy boys”.

Hmm...

You might be getting a better deal than me! I'm getting dinged: Admin fee - 395, Freight - 1500, PDI - 1195 - This is for a European delivery, and then final delivery in Toronto. I tried to get them to do something on the admin fee, and at that point I had the only GT4 allocation at the dealer so the answer, delivered with raised eyebrows, was predictable! Perhaps I should see if they will wiggle my freight to 1250 to align with what you are being charged. I don't think it's likely they will do that now that the deal is inked, but it doesn't hurt to ask

Where in Canada is your car being delivered?

BTW - my 718 GT4 build:

Guards Red, Silver wheels, 2-way Heated Sports Plus seats, BOSE, Apple Carplay, Fire extinguisher, Steering wheel 12 o'clock marker in Guards Red, Seatbelts in Guards Red, Luggage net in passenger footwell, Smoking package (not that I smoke - just to have the little cubby cover), and most fun of all - European Delivery in April!

The rationale for all of my options is the same, "because that's what I like."

Dealer prep LMAO the 90s called they went their scam back. I wouldn't do business with any dealer that even tried that. I might give them a chance by saying "fine don't prep it"
