718 GT4 Build Specs - Let's see them
#136
Locked mine in today after a month of changes and CXX type options of which none I went with due to cost. Shame too because custom seats, stickers, etc are cool but between that and PCCB obviously at that pint in the build, you are now in GT3 territory.

Locked mine in today as well! It was very helpful reading the 'why and why nots' on options : ) Here are my notes for those future builds:
*Navigation option - do not like Porsche's native navigation and will not use track app/chrono package/ Porsche connect sub services, etc. (got my AiM system for that). Feel Apple Car Play w /Siri does it all and more + the car already comes standard with Sirius XM. Everybody, save yourself an extra $2300+!
*Blacked out headlights - didn't like you couldn't option the car with JUST the blacked out headlights, but now you're forced to have the headlight washers...ugh. Not liking those standard 718 silvery bug eyes.
*Color - was on the fence with color for awhile (Guards Red vs. GT Silver), but decided GT Silver was more special given the history of mid-engine Porsches being GT Silver (Carrera GT, 918, etc.).
*Sport Chrono / Watch- did not option it for the above reason, but more so that it tends to be reflective against the windshield in varying conditions (Chrono Housing is unlike GT3 versions with binnacle cover atop of dial.)
Dealer offered MSRP (no mark-up!!!)

I finalized my spec with my dealer on Saturday. I was told it would lock in a week or two, and should be delivered some time in May.
Chalk, platinum wheels, bucket seats, red stitching and a bunch of other stuff.

I’m not sure if they do in the 718. In the 991 they did. For example, in the GTS you wouldn’t get the sport design mirror if you chose the folding mirrors.
