That would be the perfect spec. I selected the color matched paint option for the nipples. In the end it came down to black housing with nipples or stock headlights with no nipple clean look.
I chose the black housing. I feel thats a design element that was more important to me. Everyone is right though. All comes down to personal preference.

Yea, I couldn't live with those silvery bug eyes in the base lights personally. I just loathe that PAG is making us pay upwards of $1,800 bucks essentially to get the black housing units. Ooff, talk about a premium for some black plastic. While I think PDLS is cool, I'm really not doing it for the PDLS at all.

Don't get Sports Chrono on the GT4 (standard on Spyder, so no choice there I guess). Some valid points in this link below...

I made the same choice for the same reasons. Especially the DRLs which look less all over the place (in my view) than those of the LEDs when lit up (when off, I find that the LEDs look nice and less old school then the PDLS though). Plus the PDLS will be the rarer spec if that matters to some.

I got the black look because it goes with my build theme. I wish they had a smoked headlight option like on the GTS.

I'm definitely feeling like a bit of a black sheep here....But seriously, why no love for black!?

Submitted this build to my dealer earlier this week in hopes of securing an allocation. Fingers crossed!

Very striking, love the red accents inside, why not get the Sport Chrono in red too?

I thought about that - I ultimately decided to pass because the Sport Chrono is already (literally) front and center, and I felt like making it red would be overkill.

My first Spyder was black and I swore, for probably the 5th time, no more black cars. I love black cars, right up until the point I have to actually live with them. I've owned 5 or 6 of them over the years and they've always been a nightmare to keep looking good, even with a nano coating. After that Spyder, I've sworn them off for good. Then I saw a new GT4 in black, platinum, with red calipers and stitching, and that little devil was back on my shoulder whispering in my ear...

If they offered a nice metallic black, I would consider it. I had an 87 Ferrari 328 in Black Metallic and it was an amazing color. A ton of flake in it and almost looked like a metallic charcoal gray in certain light. For black, it wasn't too bad to take care of. A regular straight black? Forget it.
Here's a few pictures of the color - just because everyone likes car pictures.

Agree - love black. So sleek. Here’s a pic of my 360 Spyder true manual. Epic car and best sounding car I have ever owned. After selling my the 981 Cayman GTS, which was also a great car, as one auto journalist called it “a modern Dino”. However, I am looking forward to getting back into the drop top. Can’t wait to drive the 718 Spyder with a third pedal as well. Delivery can’t come soon enough as the weather starts to turn towards

Hi all,

I have until tomorrow to change this. It is apparently an extra pool car and got the notice yesterday so didn't expect this.

What do you guys think?

should I get Porsche lettering in black?
