Those buyers could care less that it takes 5-8 minutes to deal with that top, which is more than double what it takes to go topless on the Spyder.
Yes, and with a 964 speedster is even worse. Nevertheless I’d buy that one instead of my 987 spyder.
It was written that removing the 987 bikini and lower 981 roof was not different. For me it is. Luckily.

I've owned my 964 Speedster since new. If you're a mechanical person the top is no problem. But if you're not, forget it. And if you just leave it down it will shrink and you'll never get it up. After more than 25 years mine has shrunk anyway and needs replacement. But it works well when properly operated. For me, the 981 is superb. I've been in my car at +150 mph with the top up. No problem. Wind noise is minimal. If have experience the operation is less than 2 minutes. I suspect the 718 is no different.or better.

I love the 964 speedster
I agree that the 981 is a very good combination between being practical and special (if I understood it right is a very similar solution on the 991 speedster). Not as "special" as for the 987 but I admit that I'd open it/close it much more often if it was as practical as it is in the 981.
