Thanks for posting. The car looks fine but the Spyder is still more interesting to look at.

Front grilles and fascia ok. Headlights and rear - no. I see no improvement over the 981. Plus more money for a 4 banger? Very happy and grateful to have what I have.

Can anyone tell if the taillight housings and headlight housings are the same shape as the 981.1's?

Love the color; is that Lava Orange? Like the LED lighting option. Model designation size seems to be getting out of control. Model Delete is the way to go; hope one can remove that 'P O R S C H E' letters easily. Retractable rear wing doesn't align with the LED light bar; but then, the design is different from 981.1. So, nothing to align with. Torque is beefed up, as expected. The S with PDK is as quick as the Spyder. Interior vents are different, not bad per se. Hopefully, there would be a steering wheel with no damn buttons. Sport Response button is interesting. It is gonna further take away the need to rev the engine to the limiter! Overall, the changes aren't bad. The handling should get better along with steering feel. So, it's gonna come down to engine note!

Massive power bumps, especially for the base car.

Looking more carefully at the 718. Yes, certainly I'm biased, but I really think that Porsche did an poor job especially on the rear design of the car. Incredibly busy! And the "more aggressive" front end just doesn't do it for me. I don't particularly like either the redesign of either the headlights or taillights. Aesthetically, I don't think Porsche has done itself any favors with this car. And although faster and more torque than the 981, give me a NA six any day! Designs can grow on you after looking at them for a while, but really - just look at my car (in my avatar) and tell me it's not so much better looking than the 718!

So glad I'm getting the 981.1 Spyder... The 718 feels too aftermarket to me... in a bad way.

Thought I was gonna hate the rear after seeing the spy shots, but I don't. Still don't think it's an improvement over the 981, but it's not a big step back toward the 987. Kind of a blend of the best of both.

The other article said they had to reshape the rear due to the room needed for the turbos.

Those air vent looks stupid! looks cheap...
I like the interior of the 981 and the steering feel of the 987, and the NA engine...
I think this 718 don't looks good at all...

They are not.

I like the styling better too, but in fairness to the price, there are more standard features. Also, I think the Boxster will now be the top model, and the Cayman will be less expensive.

Couldn't agree more. Rear is the worst design element on the 718.

after seeing video, love the rear and the rear lights, start to see how they will begin transitioning to Mission-E design language. The front is ok. Think they could have toned down the side intakes by ditching the strakes to be more subtle like the 991T and RS.
