Tartan seat inserts/clear engine cover upgrade
Had my buddy from Porsche Mod Squad help me remove my seats to get them ready to have the seats done in Tartan material I ordered from Scotland. We also remove the shift boot from SunCoast that will also be done in the same Tartan material and we also mocked up his custom engine cover from his 981 to my 718 to confirm both platforms are the same!

i have the clear engine cover in my 987.2 track car that the previous owner installed. it is super loud in the cabin! there is a lot of sound insulation on the factory cover.

i would say with the engine cover it's alot more audible but keep in mind we did not have the seal installed at the time. but it's a very good sound if i might add. i'll be making a video shortly as soon as i get everything back from Porsche Mod Squad. i'll be using a separate mic in the back so everyone can hear all the noises. i'll be recording with the OEM cover in place, with the clear engine cover without the seal and one with the seal to see if there's a noticeable audio difference. the last will be without the engine cover because it sounded freaking amazing but probably not ideal on a daily. stay tune

there will be a pretty big difference in stock vs clear, with or without seal. the stock piece is much heavier and thicker than most realize, at least it was to me.

Too bad the engine is not something nice to look at.
