Cayman T

@chriswd62 , that seems completely accurate, and I had a deal for a manual Cayman T that had a HORRIBLE DME report....so, I walked away.
And to your points, I was really bummed because I felt the T would make me a better thinking driver...simply, up to me to 'work' the car properly to extract the proper calm / aggressive balance. Likewise, I think you can get away with a foggier-brain with the extra power and turbine capability on the S.
Thank you for sharing a bit more about your T...and early congratulations on your inbound GT4.

I see one purpose of the T as being summed up in the following aphorism: “It is [often] more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.”
When I need to drive a fast car slowly, I drive my 991 Turbo.
If you can have only one toy car, then the T must check your most important boxes. If it doesn’t then it’s not for you.
If you can have more than one toy car (and you are not LehmanZ06 ) then having “book ends” makes you appreciate each more-so, I think, than otherwise.

Beautiful T you have specified! Light weight carbon sports seats, PCCBs, color matched rear difussor. This must have touched $90K, which is still an incredible bargin all things considered. How did you get the GTS front bumper on a T? I never saw that option on the Porsche.com order configurator. Would have ordered that if not too expensive.
Kind regards,
Michael

All. It was a short, but wonderful time with my 2022 Cayman T. I'm sad to see it go, but the GT4 should be a suitable replacement. If anyone is interested, I'm trading it in at Porsche Cherry Hill, NJ (ask for Jackie Rose). Manual, Standard White, Black Extended Leather interior w/black stitching, 20" Carrera Sport Wheels, and Clear Taillights. The car has full ceramic coating and only 1,100 miles. Immaculate condition. I'd love for it to find a good home with a fellow Rennlister. Some final departing pictures.

Beautiful Car ! I love my 718 T interior package on my 2 T’s.
Obviously the GT4 is the superior car in numbers performance. While I would say that the T is more in enjoyable in driving stints longer than 20 minutes.
At least that’s how I felt in my 997.2 GT3.

This was my impression from beating both a 2.0 and 2.5 at PEC. Yes the 2.5 had more horses when it spooled but the second order lag was noticeably more than the 2.0. In the 2.0 I was able to do some drifting on the PEC skid pad whereas with the 2.5 it was under steer while the 2.5 spoiled that transitioned to power over steer and a spin when the boost hit. It was impossible for me to "catch it." My instructor could, of course, drift either one while half-asleep and sipping a latte. So, no doubt it is a skill that has to be developed, but just easier with the 2.0.

I ended up tweaking the build a little. The color was too pink for me and I thought the sport design elements weren't worth the $$ for what the T represents. However I did add back in a radio and a few other minor comfort features. This car will be FUN on the track alongside my GT3 Touring. I'm keeping it as a spare car for friends to use at DE events.

I'm looking for a Cayman T, preferably new, with PDK. There are precious few available. I count 6 right now nationwide. There's one coming in soon to Rusnak Porsche (SoCal), but they want 5k ADM. Any opinions here on whether that's a good deal?
It's Shark Blue, with a nice option set.

I've got one arriving in a few weeks. Oddly I also have a new 992 C4S coming a month later, so I'm just gonna drive the Cayman for a few weeks and then trade it back in. So it will be for sale in Minneapolis if you are interested. Not sure if you like the build or not. I got it with no ADM but they wanted me to purchase clear bra installation from them. They did a very nice job on my Cayenne with that so I agreed.
