With my Spyder I was thinking of getting a glass rear air deflector and mounting a rear dash cam there. I will tap into the constant power fuse on the passenger side fuze box like I did for my Escort MaxCam 360c. I have that mounted on a BlendMount.

Rear Glass Air Deflector

Which fuse did you piggyback in to? Do you have a link to the piggy back fuse supplier?

"There are four rows of fused, the top is three huge ones and an empty slot.

The next row has always on power.
The bottom row is switched off when the car is off."

In my S, it's right above the dead pedal like most other modern German cars. Other location could be behind the fuse panel cover in the footwell to the left of the dead pedal. That's where it was on the 981.

Can you describe more? on my '22 Spyder with light design package... even using trim removal tools I feel like it just doesn't want to come down.

What do you mean by "pushing it straight in" ? isn't the overhead assembly held on by two "clips" of sorts that are vertically oriented? So isn't it all about pulling it 'straight down (to the floor)'?

edit: oh wow okay i saw a picture of where the clips are, awesome!

... went to just go tap into a fuse as I once did for my 981 rather than mess with the overhead console... and I couldn't (on my '22 spyder) for the life of me find a fuse that was OFF when the key wasn't even in.

I tried Row b: Rain sensor, TPMS control unit; Row c: Electric Parking brake switch, Overhead console

Can I use any "not used" , or does someone know which fuse location , passenger side, will NOT be powered when the key is not present/ignition off?

edit: SOLVED - used row D, 718 Cayman GT4: Laptrigger (7.5A) which my Spyder has
