Default 981 GT4 used price?

Will used price on 918 GT4 come down a little when 718 GT4 hits the market? I’m kinda new to Porsche market, so I don’t know if there were any similar things happened before with GT3 or other limited production car.

You can go to Caru Gurus and enter a search (make it automated) that will send 981 GT4's for sale. Car Guru's shows price history on each car listed (except for Texas cars). Very useful tool

Looks like they already are. There are a few in the 80's already and the sellers who are asking over that have been on the market for sometime.

Agree! I have been watching the GT4 market for sometime now. I think patience will pays off for buyers. Did you notice Porsche raised the base price on the new GT4 by $10k? Porsche's greed is probably going to bite them.

But maybe the difference is that you'll be able to buy a 718 GT4 at MSRP. I don't know anyone who bought a 981 GT4 at MSRP.

Okay, no this is wrong.
Greed? Why shouldn't Porsche get the highest price possible from the market?
It's not greed, it's capitalism. It's the only system that lets the demand for a product set the market price.
If you don't like it, don't pay it.
Simple, right?

Look at current 718 sales, they are pretty terrible. I guess the market has spoken that not many people are willing to spend $70k on a 4 cylinder car. If you have no problem paying an extra $10k every few years for the newest GT4 model, then you're Porsche's type of customer. I'm a big fan of people who buy high and sell low.

But a used GT4 is hardly a bargain. Unless the car has a story, and there are a few out there, GT4s have retained their value quite well. I don't see the 718 GT4 depressing the price of 981 GT4s. I suspect that the sticker on most 718 GT4s will be in the $115 - $120K range. So a $90K 981 GT4 may be tempting ti many.
